  1. Not sure. It's an Elegance model with a lcd display for the temperature and fan speed etc. It's a 2010 model if that helps.
  2. Well after all this, bought the resistor, it's not the same. Any ideas?
  3. Mine does the same. Looked online, asked here and was told it's the resistor under the passenger dash air bag. Bought the part, got on with getting the airbag out, then found on my model (Elegance) it's totally different! Not had time to take it the garage to sort it out. Just check before you buy, though it was only £7. Sorry I can't help anymore.
  4. Thanks Did try looking but obviously under the wrong title.
  5. Not been on for a while but here goes My Fabia Elegance heater fan is playing up. It is working in that it is blowing air, slowly, but when you try to turn it up or down nothing happens. Then, at no given time, it will blow full blast for about 5/10 seconds then drop back to the way it was. This will happen throughout my drive, temperature settings make no difference as it will blow at the appropriate heat setting. Is this something I can fix or is it mechanic time?
  6. Will check and try all of the above. Thanks
  7. I recently had the Bridgestone Weather Control tyres fitted, to the front tyres, to our Galaxy and I'm very impressed with them. They grip very well where I would be spinning up on the old conti 5s. Also on our Fabia I fitted some Imperial all season tyres, on the back, so far so good but not had chance to throughly test them due to lock down.
  8. In the last couple of weeks my gearbox has become hard to change gear, it feels like the oil in the box has turned to treacle. It goes into gears fine with no grinding, so I don't think it's the clutch, but moving left to right when in neutral it is very sluggish. Would an oil change help, but then why would the original oil thicken up? There's no leaks that I can see underneath the car. Any help appreciated before I take it to the garage. The car is a 2010 which has just covered 100000k
  9. That duc looks stunning with those fairings. Were you on the national circuit at Rockingham? I love the in field circuit. Had a k5 some years ago, it's still one of my favorite looking bikes, just couldn't get on with it. Did some trackdays to set it up but just didn't click with it, pity really. Still have some spare fairings if you're interested?
  10. I have just been looking for some events to do later this year and noticed there are a few demo days. These are mtb days, but they are £50 a go! Is this the norm and are they worth it? I'm not currently looking for a new bike but it nice to try new bikes and have a day out. Any experience of these days out there?
  11. Looking........bright Get out on it and take it easy to start with. You'll probably need to tweek things to get them in the right position for you, then nail it
  12. This issue is with a Ford Galaxy I am looking to buy. My VRs has gone. All the tyre sites I've looked at recommend the 101 rated tyre on the 18" wheels, though a 103 on 17s that are fitted to some models. Questioned about the tread depth at the time of looking but told company policy is 3mm and above fine.
  13. I'm looking at a replacement car and the rear tyres are quite low, though still legal tread, but they might be the wrong load rating. As the car is 100 miles away I can't just nip back before finalising the deal. Now as it's a national dealer are they legally obliged to replace the tyres, if I point out the load rating issue. Would it invalidate insurance, points on your license should I get pulled? The tyres are 97 rated but after doing some research the car should have 101 rated tyres. Thinking I might phone the sales guy to check, but then don't want him waffling company policy nonsense to me. Any advice welcome Thanks
  14. Unfortunately I sold my beloved VRS had it from new and very sad to see it go. Expanding family now requires 7 seating capabilities, tried the new Kodaiq it's to small! The fella who bought it got a bargain.
  15. I blame my tinnitus on not wearing ear plugs when I was younger. Use to do lots of riding and clubs in my youth without a thought for my hearing. I wear cheap disposable ones as I'm susceptible to ear problems. Did find they made a difference as my ears did't ring as much with them. Been wearing them to gigs for a few years now. Interestingly my tinnitus has got worse recently and I've not ridden in the last year!
  16. Does anybody have a diagnostic box thingy in Nottingham that could help me out asap? Also lost the spare key and now need it but what's the cheapest way to get a replacement, secondhand preferably, key cut and reprogramming it? Don't want to go to the dealership as they'll be extortionate prices. Any suggestions greatly welcome. Thanks
  17. The Boardman bikes are good, have a old school full sus and now have a 2015 27.5 hardtail. Bought both second hand and both were like new. Also have a norco full sus that's brillant( again secondhand) done all the places you have bar macc forest. Full sus all the way.
  18. I've bought my last couple of bikes second hand off fleabay and the tree of gum. Year old at most and looking like they've only been round the park and back. Last one still had the tags on the cables, the guy said he'd done two rides but it wasn't for him. Paid less than half price, though you have to be patient for them to come up.
  19. Charging stator. It's not charging the battery. Unfortunately it's going to have to wait as moving soon.
  20. Ha ha. I had comments about my monkey arms, they measured twice to make sure!
  21. Had the viffer for a while to commute on, dullest bike I've ever ridden, it did the job. Tuono is my favourite bike ever, though it's not been used for a while due to family and it needs fixing
  22. Crowtrees and Sidi boots for me. Shame Crowtree aren't going anymore. Had two sets of leathers from them and always a pleasure to visit. On my sixth Arai now, it's the best fitting helmet for me, currently a Rebel model.
  23. I've been using Atera aero bars and their carriers for the last 7 years on my estate. The bars are good and last week I moved them round so I could carry 4.8m joist and floor boards! The bars have a rubber strip you can cut to size and fill the gap on top once the carriers are mounted. Bought all second hand from fleabay at less than half price of new. The only time they come off is when I get chance to wash the car properly.
  24. Saw someone with something similar recently, but red. Not really worth the effort over a good light at less than half the price.
  25. I did Muay Thai for about 4 years 20 years ago. Never did it to fight just to keep fit, couldn't fight my way out of a paper bag, but loved it and the people I trained with. Anything is better than sitting on the sofa and if you don't like it try another.
