vRS built and sat at Emden - Roughly how long?
Really sorry to hear that, that's an awful start to the ownership which takes the joy out of it. I do hope they can get it quickly fixed for you. I think so far I've been really lucky with our vRS and it hasn't had a single issues, fingers crossed once they sort it for you it becomes the same for you

Should we buy an Elroq?
You can always buy a spare wheel or tyre, the question is where will you store it ? Leave it in the boot but that will eat into your bootspace. For some strange reason 15 years back the EU and UK decided it was acceptable to just have a can of sealant ... As soon as that regulation was passed they all saw the opportunity to save a little bit of money . Whether not the Elroq is suitable for you, the only way you can answer is by test driving as it's personal to wash person. For us, our Elroq VRS is perfect size. We had a Kodiaq followed by a Tesla Model y ( too big with awful turning circle), we live in a city so wanted something a bit more usable. Renault 5 was too small , enyaq was the roughly the same size as the Model Y. Elroq was perfect , especially as we have growing kids . We also have a superb estate we use for camping etc

Hurrah, she is finally at the Dealer. They've sent me a video of our VRS just as it's come off the transporter , Hyper green will definitely stand out 🤣 collecting on Friday at lunch time so only two sleeps, all quite exciting

Elroq: Who else has ordered?
That's cool, mines still showing at as Emden, also sat there since end of August . I gave notice in writing to Skoda to cancel , we came to an agreement and the dealer has lent me a Karoq Sport line until it turns up, oddly they dealer told me that it should be here by the end of October . Two large ships came into Sheerness over the last couple of days so hopefully on one of them. Sat in an Elroq sport line as I haven't sat in one since I ordered, very nice .

Nice on delivery, I spoke to my dealer again today . The manager phoned up and they assured me they are doing what they can and still frustrated. Having looked around we still want the Elroq, the polestar 4 seemed like it could be good but a few compromises and the reason we were getting the Elroq was we wanted a smaller car then our model Y. The dealer has offered to loan us a car and thinks the Elroq should be with us in 10-14 days . I think it's a fair situation and they've done what they can to resolve it , will stick with this and see what happens

Elroq: Who else has ordered?
I'm in the same situation, mines also been sat there since end of August. Dealer has been chasing them and has said the same thing as you, escalated to Skoda myself and their customer service is appalling. As I need a car by November I've triggered my right to cancel if they cannot deliver the car by the 24th October, there is a clause in the contract if they don't delivered within 21 days of estimated delivery date you can serve 14 days notice . Appear to be plenty in stock around the country in the same spec, will grab one or now thinking about a polestar 4

I'm considering this if I can find the same or similar spec, I'm going to give the dealer until the contract clause which then effectively nullifies the contract due to X amount of time over estimated delivery with the demand they deliver within two weeks which they have acknowledged. There are over 70 VRS on the Skoda website with some available immediately (around 5 in a similar spec) I'm also considering a polestar 4

vRS built and sat at Emden - Roughly how long?
Just had a VM from my dealer, car is still sat at Emden ... This has to be around 5 weeks. How this company stays in business whilst complaining about the threat or achi se brands amazes me, incompetence is breath taking . Still cannot tell the dealer when it will be on a ship, I actually really feel for the dealer here . Seems like a decent chap tbh , would drive me mad having to deal with the jokers at VAG. When it eventually ships, I probably then have a two week wait until it gets to the dealership, I've already invoked the contract clause to cancel and the clock is ticking . Challenge is there isn't really that many great alternatives to the Elroq , checked out the Volvo ex30 (too small with lots of software issues) Renault 5/Alpine a290 also too small, don't want another Tesla model Y (crap build and scary safety related to door looks mechanism). Cars are crazy expensive these days with sickening depreciation, also looking at a Polestar 3 but may be too big . Thought about a model 3 but same dodgy electronic door locks I've got a lot of work and personal travel coming up so we ideally need it by November.

vRS built and sat at Emden - Roughly how long?
Still no Elroq vRS, it's been sat at the port in embden for weeks now, especially if it was really built w/c 34 Aug 18th. Spoke to my dealer again and no update, apparently lots of cars backing up at sheerness and Grimsby causing the issues ... This is odd as people who ordered similar spec cars after mine are getting them on Facebook groups. I'm starting to wonder if the car was actually built in August and if the dealer held back the order (June 20th) as they had reached their quarterly sales figures to make the following quarter look good. We need a car by November so I've invoked my right to cancel and given them 14 days to deliver as per their contract. If it doesn't turn up , there are lots of discounted ones on autotrader appearing, they will be stuck with a fully maxed out vRS in hyper green (they will probably shift it quickly if sales figures are to be believed) The new Merc electric CLA also looks pretty decent so we are going to check that out

Elroq: Who else has ordered?
Very nice, I hope you enjoy and same spec apart from colour of the one I ordered . Mine has has been built apparently since August but sat at the docks, spoke to the dealer and still no date for leaving Embden, I'm tired of it and have invoked my right to cancel if they don't delivery the car within 14 days as they are 21 days over the estimated delivery

vRS built and sat at Emden - Roughly how long?
Spoke to the dealers and it's still apparently sat at Emden after weeks, absolute joke. The dealer obviously cannot do anything but very poor by Skoda , when I look at their logistics compared to Tesla it's horrific . Really does our me off buying any more , our Superb has been brilliant but the experience of trying to order an Enyaq a few years back under COVID and now this doesn't feel me with confidence

vRS built and sat at Emden - Roughly how long?
Thanks @arronrose87 not sure what's going on with mine, still nothing and the lack of comms from the dealer is poor. What's making it worse is there are discounted models on auto trader new with the same spec. If they don't get me an answer next week, I may just cancel and go with one of these as they are outside of their delivery window

vRS built and sat at Emden - Roughly how long?
Great timing on both fronts, we are going to get hot by that, it's a bit of a joke tax as they knew they would have got most EV buyers. Their arr some great lower priced options coming in now , if we didn't have growing kids I would have gone for the Renault 5 or the Alpine a290. The Skoda fits perfectly for where are on life

vRS built and sat at Emden - Roughly how long?
HI All, Finally it's out the factory and it's at Emden , hopefully not a long wait as it was built week 34 (almost a month back) Anyone have rough idea of the average time once it catches the boat and arrives at the dealer?
-
I'm back!
Very nice, hope you enjoy. Waiting for our Elroq to turn up,hopefully only a few weeks now

Ventilated Seats
You are correct indeed, it's massage seats in the UK. This whole faff around leaving standard options out in one region Vs the other is BS . VAG and Skoda have a lot to learn and better do it quickly as the Chinese are coming quickly

Elroq: Who else has ordered?
I went for Hyper Green, agree with your comments . It can look really nice but also the washed out yellow on certain screens. I've had a lot of black, silver, grey, white etc with our Tesla being red (nice shade of red actually) . Decided to go with something a bit crazy, I'm either going to love it or absolutely hate it 😬

Exit Chime
Thanks for the response, will keep an eye on that, in our model Y my s25 never got hot BUT in my Superb estate it gets hot when charging by cable, it's a 7 year old car though . Hopefully things have improved
