2015 L&K Yeti with drivers side waterleak - only 20k milage but May
TR250man replied to Kevandkatie's topic in Skoda Yeti
Admittedly my Yeti is older than yours but I suffered a windscreen leak which worsened over time, you could see the water dripping into the car from the top of the windscreen. Apparently not an unknown fault on earlier Yetis due to an unsuccessful change of windscreen adhesive. Windscreen taken out by fitter and resealed - seems to be working…. -
Interesting review Stubod, thanks. Coincidentally I have a new Niro 3 hybrid on order. I’ve got around the problem of replacing my 12 year old 140bhp 4x4 Yeti (which I’ve had from new) by keeping it as a second family car, it’s too good to get rid of!

For information I never had the “fix” on my 140 4x4 owned from new and now showing 73000 miles. Summer time mpg averages about 49 around locally, and a recent 400 mile trip down the A1 averaging 65 mph returned 57mpg. I only use branded fuel, not supermarket, and have had no EGR problems.

+1 for me. My 2017 ‘phone will not link with my 2011 car, although my previous ‘phone would.

Speaking from using it on a Yeti (Karoq may be different) as Kenny says the car will align itself with adjacent vehicles and not the kerb. It is disconcerting at first, you will get used to it. The biggest problem with park assist is the length of time the vehicle has to be stationary before starting the manoeuvre. You can't park quickly and in practice you don't have enough time in moving traffic to allow the system to engage - consequently I've only used it a handful of times in seven years. I

Can anyone tell me if when you replace your battery if you lose the settings on the memory seats? I have a portable power pack which I could connect to the power outlet by the gear-lever during the change over which should hopefully maintain any settings. Your thoughts? Thanks.

The self Parking option is a nice, accurate toy - but as mentioned previously if you need to get into a tight slot swiftly it trips out. You need to be stationary for a longer time than you usually have! I wouldn't bother again but I would have front and rear sensors.

As above , silent.

Does anyone know the environmental impact of Snowfoam, is it biodegradable etc? Looking on line people assume it is but I have yet to see it confirmed. Obviously using this product in a domestic setting the residue will end up in the surface water drainage system via road gulleys etc and eventually into watercourses. A commercial setting eg car wash has interceptors and drains into the foul water system for treatment.

The car went in for its first service recently and they changed the rear badge without me asking, I enquired about the front badge and was told it was from a different manufacturer and wasn't included in the Skoda directive. It was not until later I looked at the front badge.................

Has anyone out there tried Evergreen Tyres on their Yeti? A friend of mine has them fitted on his RAV4 and extols their virtues with regard to longevity and grip, however I always have some concerns over buying "cheap" tyres. The Evergreens can be found for approximately £90 against £160(ish) for Dunlops at my local ATS depot. Your thoughts?

Never having tried the DSG can anyone out there give me their views on whether you experience greater brake wear as you will not necessarily be using engine/change down braking as in the manual version? Thanks
