It's unlikely you'll map the 1.9 TDI to a point where the life of a brand new DMF is going to be noticeably affected.
What are you thinking of having done?
Thinking of a bit more than just mapping.
Probably turbo, injectors and 150 head bolts.
200ish BHP would make a nice road car.

Hi guys, I've got an octavia 1.9 tdi pd 4x4
It's recently had a new clutch and dmf, just wondered if anyone knows what the limit of the stock setup is before I start tuning it?
Cheers

Thanks for the info guys, looks like I should get away with 17" then.

I took delivery of my new VRS 230 estate last week and I'm already thinking of a second set of wheels and tyres for winter.
The VRS 230 has the larger front brakes (340mm I think), just wondered if anyone had any experience in fitting smaller wheels, and what will clear the front brakes?
Obviously 18" wheels will fit, but has anyone tried to fit 17" or even 16" wheels?

2005 Octavia 1.9tdi 105 4x4 Elegance Estate
If you are looking for a well sorted 1.9TDI 4x4 estate you have found it.
6 speed gearbox 4x4
154k Miles
Legendary 1.9Tdi PD Engine
I spent over £1700 yes £1700! on it a few months ago on a new clutch, new dual mass flywheel, Rear main crank seal (there was a slight weep so made sense to change it at the same time) and a refurbished gearbox. I was intending to keep it for a long time, but with a new car on the way it just doesn't make sense
This car has been exceptionally well looked after having been serviced every 12 months without fail. That's the main reason I bought it.
It was faultless over the winter in the snow we had.
Cosmetically it's very good, obviously it's not perfect as it done over 150,000 miles I will let the pics speak for themselves
Full elegance spec
Summary
Price £2495
Location South Lancashire
