FOR THE LAST PART I went back to guy that does all the coding and installation. In cca. 2h I got back car with digital cockpit. Everything was and still is working without any problems.

Now regarding digital cockpit LCD screen. For EU market there is/was (in 2020) part number 3V0 920 790A. For Asia/China/India market is the same cockpit with part number 3VD 920 790. If you take used LCD cockpit you need to get one from the same engine as you have in your car. At that time I couldn't find any good one from 2.0 TSI 280 (there were some for 2.0 TDI 190). So I ordered NEW Asian model from Aliexpress for cca. 600 € with shipping (EU models were all at least 1.300€). In cca. 10 days I received it and everything looked OK:

THIRD STEP was getting cluster LCD screen with optical cable and new steering wheel buttons (they need to have menu instead phone on right side if you wish to access LCD menu): I got steering wheel buttons with "VIEW" for cca. 30€:

SECOND STEP was upgrading MIB 2.0 to MIB 2.5. A guy that does these upgrades for a living upgraded my MIB 2.0 to MIB 2.5 with coplete memory wipe of existing unit, re-partitioning internal drive partitions and installing new 2.5 firmware. Hardware stayed the same. After this everything started to work on new screen with MIB 2.5 firmware (including Google maps via Apple car play, etc...):

I made this retrofit in 2020 on Super 2.0 TSI 280 MY 2016. FIRST STEPS are replacing screen: This was cockpit before retrofit. I had Columbus with MIB 2.: I bought Columbus screen from Superb Facelift for cca. 210 €, part number 3V0 919 606D : Bought tools for screen replacement from Amazon for cca. 15€: Replaced screen:

Got my turbo blown on Superb 3 2016 2.0TSI 280 HP with cca. 128.000km (cca. 80.000 miles). 😒 What is interesting there was only small "bumb" felt, cruise control at 130 kmh (cca. 80 mph) did not disengage and no warning lights came on. Only thick smoke was visible at from the rear. I noticed problem too late and parts of turbo got sucked into engine. Result was destroyed turbo and engine. Before failure turbo developed only slight whistling noise. I notice this now with new engine and new turbo that makes only "sssssss" sound without any whistling... What did you do with trim around Columbus screen? I just bought 9,2'' version screen and I'm waiting to upgrade main unit from MIB 2 to MIB 2.5 firmware. I just replaced screen for test and I found out, that 9,2'' version is cca. 1 cm "more out" on the top as the old 8'' screen of Columbus with MIB 2.

I was also hearing some noises and "squeeks" in rear suspension when slowly driving through some bumps in 10-20 km/h. Also some rattle from glovebox. Next regular service interval is in cca. 1 month and will also ask dealer to check these issues. Superb was made in Feb 2016. It is TSI 280 4x4 L&K with DCC.

Might be that L&K comes with front camera that is optional on other trim levels? Front camera takes more space than just rain/light sensor...

Don't try to code new Superb (or Passat, etc...) with "chinese" type of cable. In 15.7. version (first one that supports new Superb) there is nasty bug that was quickly resolved in original update but it is still present in "chinese" cables. Bug removes nearly all existing assistance systems from your car. Only solution is to get some with original cable to manually code them back.

Purple (or any custom colour) can be achived via VCDS. You can assign custom RGB colour (3x 255 values) to existing presets. I changed "warm white" preset to purple. On screen there is still label "warm white".

Finally after more than 5 months new Superb 2.0 TSI 280 L&K arrived. Colour is Quartz Grey. Some quick night snapshots with mobile phone as we have rain for last 2 days.

I got great news yesterday - My Superb 2.0 TSI 280 L&K is finally at the dealers after more than 5 months of waiting. Collection on monday. Yeeeeaaaayy. It will be looooong weekend. :clap:

Do you have paddle switches? I'm looking for this kind of wheel (without VRS logo) but with paddles. Does anyone know where to get one?

Which lights will you order? Does someone have experience with changing all the lights? Which bulbs are OK (without canbus error)?

When in ECO mode (not available when towing a trailer or when another accessory is connected to the trailer socket) : - Engine / drive: "freewheels" when no acceleration + START-STOP system is activated if manually deactivated before - ACC: slower acceleration - Air conditioning: AC is working on partial load --> longer cooling time - Dynamic cornering lights: All dynamic functions are turned off. Cornering function is still active. In some cases ECO mode can actually consume more fuel. When "freewheeling" engine requires fuel not to stall (there is some consumption). When you are braking with engine there is no fuel consumption as engine is turning through moving (reverse from acceleration) - this is why car is "braking" when in gear and no acceleration is made.

I also ordered quartz grey + beige ventilated leather + 18'' grey pegasus and can not find pictures/reviews of this exact combination. In UK there is no 1.8 TSI option (only 1.4 and 2.0 TSI) - hard to get feedback here.

In most countries there's cca. 80 € extra cost for it in all trim levels.
