  1. looking for help on forum about cat scratch nightmare as neighbours on both sides have two cats each, whilst my 5 month Yeti's front wings are getting ruined by scratches. Someone at work suggested it was being done by foxes !!

My mondeo owned previously also suffered the same fate. Would my dealer in Epsom be able to supply muskovado colour polish ???

  2. My neighbour in Epsom Downs has just bought a new red Duke. Test drove it and hated it more than the Qashqai, hence ordering a 140 diesel Yeti. Drives in a different league, although What Car does not like it. Says ride is poor etc etc.

  3. All I can say is that Johann has been a mine of useful information on the forum and to me personally, when persuading me order a new 140 DSG Yeti. Buying a new car is a big step and the professional attitude and assistance from Johann, Rockhopper, Merlinman, Aerofurb the list goes on, as well as James Rothwell, convinced me to get a more fun car.

A number of my friends think I have gone mad, harking back to Skoda 20+ years ago but they know nothing about cars. I think the forum is great and as someone with no mechanical ability, very useful to check on a regular basis.

  4. Also waiting for carfile to get back to me. Carfile are only a broker who put you in touch witha local dealer.

So part exchange is fine just waiting to see if value is anywhere near what dealers up here are offering.

Saving about 800 on vat free price but would still need a decent trade in price to make it worth return trip

    to birmingham.

I did place an order with Carfile who I found very efficient. Allams will be servicing the Yeti when I get it though....

  5. Muscovado also my second choice now. I love that gold sheen it has in the sun. A very classy colour that stands out without, well, standing out!

Get Muscovado I have ! Aqua Blue and Steel Grey are fab too. White and Tangerine are for the braver Yeti lovers and look great. Not so keen on black (never owned a black car and everyone else loves them............ :S

  6. NAME:- aerostar24

    ENGINE:- 2.0 Diesel TDI

MODEL:- Elegance DSG (Heated screen, mats, variable boot)

    COLOUR:- Muscovado

    LOCATION:- Epsom Surrey

ORDERED:- 1st March - dealer said I will get Yeti on Sept 1st. We shall see.......

  7. I am giving serious consideration to buying a Yeti with the DSG auto box on board. As I understand it, I have only two engine choices with this, and of those two, I am looking at the 1.2TSi. Thoughts anyone?

    Cheers

I drove both yetis and preferred DSG. I would never buy a manual car again after driving my wife VW Bora 130 DSG for 6 years. Driving around south London with a bad back is no fun in a manual.

Went for diesel due the miles I do, but was seriously impressed with 1.2 dsg petrol at Allams at Epsom.

  8. I haven't ordered my Yeti yet but might try http://www.drivethedeal.com/ They are recommended by Honest John in the Telegraph and you do not pay them any money up front. They arrange for delivery from a Skoda dealer or to your door. You pay the dealer. Found a couple of people on another car forum who have used them for new cars without any problems.

I placed my order with Carfile and found them the best price for 140 DSG Diesel model I ordered last week.

  9. Joined forum as going to replace my trusty Mondeo with a "Crossover" this spring/early summer. After 10 years of driving diesel saloons of Mondeo size, narrowed it down to Skoda Yeti, Mitsubishi ASX or Nissan Qashqai.

I do motorway and commuting between Epsom and Crawley and it isn't much fun, so which is better for a 12K a year motorist ?? 1.2 DSG or 140 Diesel DSG ??? or just go for a manual car, probably a 1.4 petrol ????????

    Very confused..........
