  1. You won't go too wrong with any of the restaurants in the ' Streets of a 1000 Crustaceans', which can be found just off the Grand Place. Plenty of places to eat around there, just walk around and study the menu's. Often it is wise to pick those that are well occupied. However, if you want good meat then Chez Vincent is the place to go and if you want Moules, then Chez Leon.

In terms of drinking, its Brussels, what can go wrong? The Delirium Bar, which is in a side street just a little further down from Chez Vincent, is a spit and sawdust type place with a huge beer menu. Any of the bars in the Grand Place just to sit around and watch time pass by. The Prince of Spain at the bottom of the GP is a good place with a large outdoor seating area and has a stuffed horse inside so is often referred to as the Dead Horse Saloon.

And don't forget the chocolates, Leonadis are cheap and cheerful, then you can move up to Godiva/Neuhaus/Wittermans. Although these last three are considerably more expensive (50 Euros a kilo the last time I was there).

    HTH and enjoy

  2.

    Hi everyone

Real shame about last night and the Hut being closed once again. I will apologise though as I thought we were all going to go off to the Seven Stars, it was only when I got there that I realised it was just the 4 of us (Matt, Tim, Sam and myself). However, the food was great and not overly expensive.

Now next month will be the 4th anniversary of the first meet when Sam Lee (the invisible man) and myself got together at the Hut and we need to consider what to do. As Matt has just posted, the Seven Stars will be happy to take us and from last nights experience makes for a very good alternative, and the food was especially good and in my opinion not overly expensive. More details can be found here  http://sevenstarsstroud.co.uk

Unless others have a suggestion on where to go, the Seven Stars makes for a good alternative, although it is recognised that it's a fair bit further to travel for some.

Lets have some ideas and make a firm decision in the next week or so. Maybe even @Lee01 can make it along
