My Yeti 2 ltr SE 4x4 2010, never missed a beat in the eight years I had it. Oil changed every year by myself ( so I knew good stuff was going in ) Fantastic engine.

I lost one when I had my Yeti. I think it cost £28 from dealer, and I did indeed glue it and the others on, still all there when I part exchanged it.
-
There is no way I would ever try that, unless you want to possibly damage the wheel bolts and alloy, and even the tyre. SurreyJohn's tip would seem far more sensible.

My 215/45/R16 alloy fits perfectly, and doesn't raise the floor. I don't use the polystyrene tool holder that came with car, instead they are in a large soft bag, which fits snugly inside the wheel. Car is 68 plate Monte Carlo 71kW or 95BHP

Sad to say I am also Yetiless after nearly eight years of totally faultless ownership. This forum is brilliant and the help and tips and advice over the years have been much appreciated. Many thanks and best wishes to all ( especially the longer term members )

I did say " most " do. There are dozens of places on-line selling spares, blades etc, for them.

I only asked that question after reading through six pages of answers from some experienced Yeti drivers. Over the years we have had on occasions people asking things which turned out to be a complete wind up. As far as I'm concerned this guy shot himself in the foot when saying his last vehicle was a Defender. How did he keep the rear window on that clear?????? Since I asked the question the thread went dead. Strange ............

I posted on here ages ago about the same thing. I found it was the engine cover location fixings rattling on the round location mounts. As above placing a hand on the cover stopped the the noise, moving the plastic bits in the cover sorted it.

Over the years he's been a fantastic source of info.

Try this, it's all on here if you search. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/308760-mot-fail-wobbly-headlight-bumper-removal/?hl=%2Bdealer+%2Bbroken

How quick did the rear window on the Defender get dirty?
-
The link is for the pre-facelift Yeti.
-
You can select Yeti on the main page, it's in very small blue print.

I think this was the one......... http://skoda.workshop-manuals.com

It was the " PLUMBER " who posted a whole lot of very useful stuff on here several years back. If I remember it contained a Yeti workshop manual, which was very useful.

I've been using Avon Ice Touring ST tyres for the last four years, they are 215/60 R16 99H XL on 16" steel rims, there is virtually no difference in size to the 225/50 R17 94W original, which are stored in my garage. Don't forget winters are not just for snow.
-
any time I've cleared the dirt out of mine I've noticed it drains onto the ground, ( or your foot!! )
-
Merry Christmas to all, hope 2018 is good to you.
-
I heard yesterday that if you drive without clearing the snow off your vehicles roof you can be liable to a £60 fixed penalty fine. I've always cleared mine, as it's common sense to do so, but hadn't realised there was a fine.
-
As above, used it for years.
-
Correct, it is illegal, so why aren't sat nav screens classed as distracting?
-
Any loss of power when driving? If so could be a turbo leak.
-
Why are you not supposed to be able to see the rear screen on a dash cam when driving, but sat nav is ok?

Not with VCDS but a fault code reader, came up no faults. I also found out today after much searching online, that this was a common fault with Audi. Some owners had replaced the cluster ( expensive ) but several found it was due to condensation behind the dash, and others that it was a corroded or faulty connection somewhere. A lot just decided to live with it, as it doesn't show until headlights are on, and then only very faintly.
