  1. Yikes. 130 euro for the controller and 50 euro to fit it. I love my Roomster and it rarely gives me any bother, but when it does, it's pricey.
  2. My rear wiper - also 07 went mental the other day and would not turn off. As a stop gap measure and to protect my sanity - it's SO annoying - I got the young lad in the garage to just disable it altogether. Looking at your sterling costs, I'm dreading what I will be fleeced for to fix it.
  3. I'd be up for a meetup some time, to display the beauty that is my lovely Roomster.
  4. I met a woman in IKEA's car park who jealously watched us stuff our Roomie full of Scandinavian flat pack, while her generic SUV was left with cardboard sticking out of windows. "Should've bought a Skoda Roomster" as myself and my other half like to say to unfortunates who didn't.
  5. We have two beasts who regularly go in the back. The 'not being able to see out' is a bit of an issue for both of them and they scrabble a bit to watch the world go by at the start of a journey, but soon the sounds (and fragrances) of two dogs sleeping fill the car. Mmm. We have a cage at the top of the rear seats which we originally intended would stop them trying to jump into the rear seats, but that hasn't been an issue so now we keep it really for safety reasons to stop numerous kilos of flying pug or Jack Russell smacking us in the back of the head should we have a bump.
  6. My mp3 player connects with a cable like this one to an aux socket near the cigarette lighter (07 Roomster Style).
  7. If you press the button on the end of the wiper lever you will be able to change the displays to things like outside temperature, km per litre, distance left before refuelling etc.. They are in the 'window' below the time. The bottom display 'window' will show you either the total mileage (kms) travelled or the length of the current trip. One sure way to tell which is which is to reset the trip back to zero by pressing down the thin button you turned slightly to reset the time. Press it down (into the dash) for a second or so and the trip measurement will return to zero. I hope that helps.
  8. Roomsters all over the place in Latvia, Estonia and Poland. In Ireland they are fairly rare, although I saw three in one day once, which was kind of creepy.
  9. Got the aerial replaced today - took about 40 minutes. Working fine now - I'm spoilt for choice with all the stations I can get.
  10. +1 on the travall dog guard - easy enough to fit and works well with my two hairy headcases.
  11. I'm getting my aerial replaced this Thursday - they've told me to expect about an hour's wait. It's under warranty for me, so I don't know what sort of price it is. I'll post here again as to whether it fixes the problem.
  12. Hello from Dublin. Just bought a 2007 Roomster 1.4, 16v. Delighted with it.
