  1. Nope... Nissan will stick with their CVT. And why it vwould not make sense? If Renault already has this tech, it is probably quite clever to use both autoboxes in different brands. You know... there are many people who prefer CVT. Dont ask me why BTW. I'm really considering Kadjar as my next car... tried it myself last week and it REALLY is that good. My only gripe (I hope thats a word ) is that if only they'd put some powerful engine there (look my current car stats and You understand...). And diesel 4x4 with autobox would be ideal this time.
  2. As this is a Kadjar topic, I will point out that Kadjar will have Renault's DSG (called EDC) so it should perform as good as DSG. Only without reliability issues
  3. Thank You all for information - really appriciate it! "thingy" - do You have it this way from factory?
  4. Hey Yeti owners with panoramic roof! After 2 years of driving my own similar car I have a question for You guys - do You have 2 tiny roof leds with Your roof? I think they call them "ambience" lights. I had embarrising moment in service as I told my mechanic that my leds have stopped working. They ordered new ceiling block for my car with warranty only to discover that the new block did not have them either Did I really only imagined that I had them before???
  5. OT. With new facelift Superb You can have this combination now (the punier 140 is now off the pricelist)
  6. Please name these markets... because as far as I know Race Blue has been RS only colour about everywhere. With Octavia 3 it is a different story though and will become standard metallic option.
  7. Nope... Octavia stays in C-class (small middle-class). Direct competitors are Citroen C4, Honda Civic, Hyundai i30, Mazda 3, Subaru Impreza, Toyota Auris/Corolla, VW Golf, Audi A3, BMW 1 etc. D-class (middle) is Superb with cars like Ford Mondeo, Mazda 6, Opel Insignia, Toyota Avensis, VW Passat, Audi A4, BMW 3.
  8. At last OwenPaul11... maybe You're on to something here Sherlock... But if we're talking seriously then both RS and Scout will have 135kw engines. One is FWD (with manual and DSG) and the other is 4x4 (only DSG). My information is Europe based only but I assume that "little" company as Skoda will have the same options worldwide. And as far as we know VAG dont see Octavia being any serious competitor for Passat or A4 (c'mon... its a Skoda )
  9. BUT... as far as I know the 4x4-s will be as follows: 1,8TSI (132kw), 1,6TDI (77kw), 2,0TDI (110kw), and 2,0 (135kw). No 1,4TSI-s in the list.
  10. Probably not with eminent facelift model but maybe for next generation. And this is my personal speculation
  11. Are we just trying to be funny and sarcastic? Couple of posts back I gave You exact engines for both RS and Scout. For You specially I write them again here so You can take notes: RS: 2,0/162kw petrol and 2,0TDI/135kw Scout: 2,0TDI/135kw 4x4
  12. I really dont know from where Your local salesman get their information but with all do respect this is really utter bs. There will be no 3 litre diesel in near future and new 2-litre engine is all it ever gets. If You think about it then c'mon... Octavia is sister-car to Golf and Leon. And it makes no sense to give Octavia 3-litre diesel. That woud be total overkill. To assume that nobody knows about the engine options of the car which will be released early next year.... Do not be so naive and arrogant please (no offence ofcourse ). I'm not making this up from internet and I'm 100% sure what I'm talking about. Btw. Scout will be released early 2014 and RS 2nd half of 2013.
  13. The triangular shapes at the rear hatch supposed to resemble Swarovski crystals
  14. There will be 1,8TSI (180bhp) 4x4 for Scout and 2,0TSI (220bhp) FWD for RS. Diesel Scout will have 2,0TDI (185bhp). And if I'm correct then diesel-RS will have the same engine but FWD...
  15. Sad but very true... I tried it out also and i hated it. Small, fiddly, not very functional... Another minus mentioned there is thirst (1,8TSI 4x4). I dont know how they drove it but I dont even get close to these horrible numbers (I have DSG btw). And i mostly drive in town.
  16. Autobild Germany took Yeti to a long (100 000km) test. Almost full points http://www.autobild....st-3552616.html with english google-translation: http://translate.goo...1&ie=ISO-8859-1
  17. It is not idea but reality I'm afraid... dry-sump 7-speed DSG can take a lot of less power compaired with "older" wet-sump 6-speed. And this is a main reason 6-speed is used in bigger petrol and also in most diesel engines. In Skoda's case at least. PS. I actually like 6-speed a lot more. It kind of gives more "feel" than 7-speed.
  18. I had confirmation from MTM that my Snowman should have about 158kw (thats 212 bhp). That is more than 40% over original 150 bhp! Not bad from standard. If i'd have 7-speed DSG I'd be worried a little if the gearbox handles it... 6-speed is OK because it takes much more NM-s and bhp-s. And I have dealers warranty for any problems. Could not be happier
  19. I'm not afraid of any negative impact as MTM offers this upgrade to loads of VW Group cars. And MTM is very respectable (if not the best) company in its field. And.. as told before somewhere in the thread, I have factory warranty 4 years... So no worries there:) PS: I had similar upgrade on my 2,0TFSI Leon. 5 years went without ANY problems. DSG and engine itself took all abuse very well and that car went around hobby competitions and circuits more than couple of times. I actually trust removal of ECU and sending it to proffesionals more than some DIY thingy via diagnostic. But I do not argue that Bluefin is any less efficient. Experience has shown that fuel consumption should be even less with normal driving because power comes earlier in the RPM range (sorry if I'm not expalining correctly ) If You "step on it" then ofcourse... power has come from somewhere :sun:
  20. Yesssss! I got my car back. MTM did their magic and my snowman moves like no other "brick" on road I now have to contact them and ask how many horses they released But the feeling is like more than 200hp... Happy days!
  21. http://www.mtm-online.de/en/home (Suured tänud! )
  22. So 2000 km done and my cars "brains" were sent to MTM for a reprogramming. I have my fingers crossed that they can make the miracle happen... If it will be anything close to 150-160kw (they offer 165kw for manualt 1,8TSI) then I will be really happy. Wish me luck - beacuse they do not offer a program for exactly my version (112kw/DSG) at all in their website. But we did not tell them that
