  1. Wow. Almost 9 years since I made this post, and sadly no longer a VAG owner. However, check my later posts after I made this one, I beleive I change the HIDs out to Night Eye LEDs because of potential issues with my BCM which I didn't want to ruin. They required no coding and worked better tbh
  2. Just popping on for a quick update while I have the notion for another Fabia as my commute may be changing in the next few months! The vRS245 now has about 9K on it and was recently popped into John Mulholland Skoda for a scheduled Oil service. There was a bit of weird behavour with the clutch, so asked them to check this out which proved to be a leaking clutch release bearing which had pished all over the clutchplate. They replaced this for me with no issue and I took the car home, a few days later i noticed a large puddle of oil under the car, which turned out to be clutch/brake fluid. Skoda roadside recovered the car for me just over a week ago on Saturday, and still no word of getting my car back :( Other than that, its been great!
  3. Quick snap while i was waiting to pick up dinner lastnight.
  4. Happy days that not so bad! Apply liberally with plenty of soapy water!
  5. From this seller on eBay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/323220565544?clk_rvr_id=1556766568817&afsrc=1&rmvSB=true I did get an email this morning saying they're out of stock, but i'd contact them anyway! You'll have to remove the scratches to get it to adhere propperly around that area so hope they're not too bad.
  6. I have the same issue on my Huawei P10. I shoehorned the EU version of Oreo 8.0 onto it before the car arrived and Mirror link will not work, despite being compatable. Even the wifes Huawei Mate 10 Pro doesnt work, on it OR on Android Auto!
  7. Some boring AF updates.... but still happy with them! Boot liner fitted, already has a spillage so very happy its fully water proof. Still thinking of adding a rubber liber too. Clear Paint Protection fitted too. Nice easy wee job. I've added some LED side repeaters too, no videos but they're much more visible and suit the lights better! I've treated it to a couple of coat of Fusso coat99. Good old RainX on the windows an Anachem Ultragloss on the tires. I went to see Neil@rockvaleGraphics at the weekend and fitted a shorter length front plate to suit the front bumper .
  8. Love it Charlie! Health to enjoy!!
  9. Finally an owner, or should i say Leaser... haha Had a great first 4 days with the car, I did think the ride was a little firm and noticed that all 4 tyres were inflated to around 48PSI... Brought them down a bit to 34-36 front to back (what i always ran in my 18s on my MK2FL) and as you'd expect it feels a little better. This might be a little soft, but ill have a play over the next few weeks to see hoe i get on.
  10. Thank you! Think i've fixxed that now! Seems I just cant copy and paste from another forum that I use any more!
  11. Took custody of the new dadwagon last week and really enjoying it so far! It was a bloody long wait since I placed the order in October last year at 201 days. My 3rd vRS and easilly the best of the 3 as you would expect! My previous ones are; Here: 2004 Silver Fabia vRS and Here: 2010 Race Blue Octavia vRS Being a 245 it has a few extras over the standard VRS. Bigger brakes and the VAQ limited slip diff make a great difference over my old MK2. Power delivery is much improved with 45 bhp more than I'm used too, and much better throttle response. All the chrome being eliminated makes it much closer to my taste too. Hoping to make a few sublte changes as its is a Lease car I cant go mad, so anything that goes on must come off again! Thanks for looking Niall
  12. 201 Days since order and the collection date is finally here. Was in this morning to get paperwork signed, and will be collecting in the next 2 hours or so! Very excited!
  13. And its Sold! What a happy 3 years 11 months that was! Onward to the 245, collecting this afternoon, just awaiting the tax to be applied and get my flaps applied!
  14. Mine is GONE! Yeooooooo. That silver MK2 is a steal!
  15. Only 1 previous keeper on mine and still people don't buy it. One of yours do a buy, I'll give you a good price haha
  16. North coast would be nice too, but a Sunday morning in June at Oxford Island would be nice. Will be the 245s first meet too.
  17. Tbh I've no need of one I have the wife's car and an utter beast of a car I can use. That's if I can handle it's raw power! A 2000 1.4vvti 5 door Corolla haha
  18. I was never offered anything of the sort as my current car is privately owned. Also I was buying from a dealer and not one of the lease companies.
  19. Leon Cupra 300 is AWD too... Same boot space in their estate as there is in an Octy hatch IIRC!
  20. Easier to beg forgivness than ask permission. I'll meet you at Sprucefield at 7 for a viewing? Yes? Lovely! see you then!
  21. I'm not a freedom member so I'd never do such a thing...
  22. Oh I asked the dealer for the build.l number and then checked on the Skoda contact us page for updates.
  23. It's £300 to spend in the network. So accessories, servicing etc. I have a deposit down, and this is for a lease, so strictly I don't own the car. If you have been waiting from October like I have you should be entitled.
