Covid-19 rules in UK (well, England) state that we must stay at home apart from essential journeys, such as grocery shopping, or going to work if we can't work from home. Going out for a drive for the sake of it is not permitted.

I was quoted 20-24 weeks when I enquired recently. As that would have taken me well over the end of my lease (and thus requiring MOT, and going out of warranty) we went for a stock car with the spec we wanted - any metallic blue (we've got Race Blue again) and the winter pack. There's a handy (if a bit clunky) website where you can search the cars that are in Skoda stock, usually at the European port. https://drive.vwfs.co.uk/our-brands . This is UK only - I don't know if other countries have something similar. Although it's aimed at PCH customers, I guess the cars there are available for retail as well.

Does anyone still have the widgets on their app to show battery status and other info? When I activate my vehicle the app claims I will have 'Displays and Widgets' but I can't find them once activated. I've tried reinstalling the app and cancelling and re-activating my vehicle but no difference. Thanks.

The lease is up on my current Octy in a few months, and waiting times are 22-25 weeks at the moment. So I'm considering ordering a stock car if I can find a suitable SE-L with the 2 options I want - winter pack and spare wheel. Obviously the winter pack is a factory fit, but is the spare wheel and kit available as a after-market purchase from the dealer if I find an otherwise perfect car without it? Ta.

The starter wiring failed on my 1yr old Fabia TSI years ago (2012). Skoda Assist turned up and bump started the car down the drive in reverse so that I could drive it to the dealer in convoy with him.

My 2018 SE Tech Estate has none of these.

Some sort of mannequin sounds like a good idea to me - using a bit of humour, depending on how you dress it up, it could be a good talking point. Could have a speech bubble coming from it reminding customers to get in the back and wear a face mask.
