Which brake discs and pads front?
NumZie replied to NumZie's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk III (2014-2021)
I know, but in Denmark they don't give a f*** about that. -
Which brake discs and pads front?

My local Skoda dealers won't hand out information like that. It's laughable, I know. But it sounds like you think I have the 256mm discs. I consider Brembo, TRW or ATE. -

I really can't see anything casted. On the other hand, I am now pretty sure it's the 256mm based on a quick measurement so the FS111 must be somewhere behind all the dirt 😉 -
Which brake discs and pads front?

Thanks for guiding. I'll try to see if I can spot any of those pieces of information. I tried the decoder, but it only held information about rear brakes. If I have the 256mm front discs (which I believe are the right ones), do I then need the 20/146/55 pads? -
I'm looking to replace my front brakes, but looking at various shops, I'm not sure which ones to go for reg. measurements. I have a 2015 1,2 TSi 90 hp Combi. It seems as if there is both 256 mm diameter / 22 mm thick and 288 mm / 25 mm. For the pads there are even more choices. Thickness / width / height: 20 - 146 - 55 || 21 - 156 - 66/71 || 18 - 131 - 52 Can anyone tell me the exact sizes I need to get? Most items say for 1ZG or 1ZC - but none of those are listed in my data record attached. I think I'm going for Brembo. Customer service data record attached. Regards Kenneth

Thanks a lot for clearing that up!

I've found many posts on the MK1 (50+45°) but none for the MK3. Do you know what the correct NM and degrees is?

Hi My right hand side driving light bulb is broken - but in the manual I can't see which one is used? It's not the regular light - but the light use for daytime driving (demanded in Denmark). It's the one positioned on the top outside of the headlight. Can anyone help me which bulb it is? It's a 2015 Skoda Fabia Combi As I can read from the manual, I need to remove some shielding inside the wheel arc to get there...

Hm - even with the old two filament bulb it did glow when reversing - I find that quite strange (it does that too in the other side (the bottom bulb in picture 1). I do have four other smaller bulbs on the rear as I remember - however I believe they are 3W, as I've recently changed two of them. Nonetheless - everything works again.... for now.
-
That was a bit technical for a tech noob as me. But I changed the top right bulb on the right side and re-inserted the old bulb on the right side below. Now they both work. But what is the bulb below the reversing light bulb for? It actually lights too when reversing...

Hi My car (Fabia from 2015) just told me there was an issue with rear drive bulbs (the white ones). I checked and both bulbs were out (both were on in the other side). I bought two bulbs - 21W ba15s bulbs - but only the upper one fits. The other bulb has to leading parts in the bottom of the bulb - so this wont fit. Am I wrong that both bulbs are for rear drive? If I am - what is the other one for, why does it light when I drive backwards - and which bulb should I go buy to replace it? I'm puzzled as they are both out when driving backward, and I cannot imagine why Skoda would put two different type of bulbs for rear drive light :)

Any way to turn of 'temperature warning'?
NumZie replied to NumZie's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk III (2014-2021)
I've looked everywhere in the infotainment system - but there is no settings for this. I hoped there might be a shortcut pulling different buttons -
My Fabia 1,2 TSi from 2015 has this warning it shows me everytime the temperature drops below 4 degrees. Now this happens all the time in 6 months in Denmark, but I cannot find anything in the menu to turn it off. Any shortcuts available?

Do you guys know how to turn off the service indicator message afterwards (without having to pay the dealer for doing it...)?
-
Thanks. Just found i strange that Skoda does not supply anything free of charge. As my car is now 2½ years with around 35.000 miles on the clock, it would then need both oil + filter, air filter, pollen filter and spark plugs, right? Spark plugs a bit early, I think.
-
I hate these newer cars without a service manual. In my Skoda from 2015 - there is only written that I have to 'make a service' and oil change and eventually change of break fluid every year or three - nothing else is mentioned. I understand this is because it's being run through the SKODA system, but what if I want to maintain my services myself? How do I find out when its due to change belts, filters, aircon bits etc? Does anyone have any manuals that actually explains this?

Thx - will try

Thanks. I am 100% sure the hatch is closed in a proper way - so I guess it's the switch. Does anyone know where this switch is located?
-
I've checked that several times - and it's completely shut (as this was also my first thought).

Today my Fabia from 2015 suddenly began to show the image below when I start. When I drive, it will shift constantly from showing the normal km/h and this image below When the image is being shown, I also hear the acoustic beep and the cabin light is turned on. It beeps between 1 and many times - and there can both be half a second and 10 second between the 'range of beeps'. This beeping and light festival makes my quite crazy and I cannot find anything about it in my manual. I hope someone can help!

I changed both bulbs and the problem went away. Strange but solved
-
No - didn't have time to buy them today but will get them tomorrow and change them. That's the cheapest and easiest way to start
-
But what would you do solve the issue? Both the bulbs and the contact/holder seems free of any rust or anything else. I do not quite now how to clean them. And still I think it is strange if both contacts/bulbs should be weak at the same time :/
-
I have tried to take some photos. It seems to me all wires and bulbs and contacts seem fine. The problem did not occurwhen I took the pictures - but after assembling the light again - I started the car and the bottom bulb were out - I took a video of it. You can see the pictures in this post. I also uploaded a video of my tapping https://www.dropbox.com/s/s6qewc2ki1ihxho/MOV_0625.mp4?dl=0

I completely agree, but we checked it thorougly - it looks like new on the connecter pin - and it's still strange that it is BOTH bulbs that should be troublesome on the same time. Now I'll try two new bulbs to start with...
