  1. When was your car built? If it was before early 2011 there's a good chance that it has a substandard chain and tensioner that really should be replaced sooner rather than later.
  2. Standard ones are blue. The Osram ones you've linked to look fairly similar to them.
  3. Great info, thanks. Did Skoda do the work under warranty?
  4. Short journeys and city driving = TSi Longer journeys/motorway miles = TDi
  5. There's been numerous threads covering the paint colour of the monte wheels but Skoda F7S dark grey seems to be a close-ish match. I've used it and it's pretty close but not exact. That may have been down to the mixing of the paint or the application though...
  6. Time for a hid sticky thread me thinks...
  7. No, just a canbus h7 kit. The shutter in the headlight unit cuts the beam from full to dip.
  8. It might be coming from a leaking rear wash/wipe pipe. A fairly common problem that affects quite a few VAG cars.
  9. It's a 'standard feature' which is even mentioned in the owners handbook. There's nothing to worry about, in terms of damage being done....
  10. They are wired up in the Monte Carlo's as they use a different fog/drl light unit to the VRS. Probably more versatile as well, as I cant imagine the led's in the VRS make very good fog lights?
  11. This happens on our Monte Carlo too. Very annoying.
  12. The link he posted was for H7 LED's, which are supposed to be pretty rubbish. I agree with you, some HID's from a reputable source are the way to go.
  13. By all accounts they're very bright but the throw of the beam is terrible.

  15. It's well documented on this forum. The drums (and front calipers) are only painted with a grey type of undercoat which rusts after a while. Most people have resorted to either leaving them as they are or giving them a lick of black paint. Good luck getting it sorted under warranty.
  16. I used to own a mk2 8 valve Golf GTi, I would say the 105 1.2 TSI is on a par with it performance wise.
  17. The misting is mentioned in the user manual so I don't think Skoda will do anything about it under warranty.
  18. Skoda F7S Dark Grey is the colour you're looking for.
