So I went and bought a Jaaaag
Well it's a few months away, but I got offered a great deal (surprisingly, considering the current climate) on a I would have loved to see the new M2 but that's over a year away and I do like the M240. I did try and get a deal on a Jaguar F Type, but it's a struggle to get the price down enough for me and the wait for them is glacial too, but maybe it's worth it? Cayman was on the wish list (maybe it still is ? ), but the price was a bit too steep (Porsche quote car prices without the 'on the road' coasts, so if you look at a PCP then you need to add around £50 a month to offset this charge on a 4 year deal). Alpine looks great too. Of course the new RS3 has raised it's head (the saloon looks fab) and the evergreen A45 is something to covet, even if it has the leery spoiler on the roof. The GR Yaris is a proper little legend in the making....hmmmm? Oh and the Mustang!! Although if you want a Mach 1 you might have to wait a year, unless you get very lucky But thanks to a faintly ridiculous amount of equity in the M4 I have a very decent deposit to put down on a new car, which is something I didn't think would happen again 20 months ago! I've also secured a very decent discount on a new car, so hopefully sometime around April (or earlier) I should have a ...... Have I gone silly or sensible (I am getting a bit old now)? Sporty or practical? Stripped out or luxo barge? I have always liked cars like the Fiat Panda Cross and Jimny as you may have seen in my earlier posts around this forum

I've been calling my cars Willberpog for many, many years. My Octy when I joined Brisky, was a Willberpog- So I went and bought a Jaaaag
I might need to retitle this thread to "So I went and sold an M4" Willberpog has gone- So I went and bought a Jaaaag
I'd also be happy with Cayman GTS, F Type V8 or a freshly washed reindeer- So I went and bought a Jaaaag
Blimey, the new car is a lot quicker than my old one! Regardless of sticky tyres, 4x4 and a big chunk more torque (more than offsets the cars increase in weight. I do love Steve Sutcliffe. Finest driver on YouTube imho he took Chris Harris under his wing to some degree when Harris first joined Autocar I'm going to ask Santa for one in Skyscraper grey, wish me luck- Photography Thread
Oooh Waves. Glider pilots love them As I understand it, they can literally surf along them in a similar vein to sea surfers.- So I went and bought a Jaaaag
The Chinese market has to have had an influence in many manufacturers designs. The Suzuki Cross went extremely Chinese in it's appearance and it's probably something we will have to get used to in general. I hate the front on many new Mercedes at the moment too and have a bigger problem with their grill designs than almost any other manufacturer. But there again, I detest the front of all Teslas, go figure- So I went and bought a Jaaaag
I never had a problem with the M3 grill and to be honest it's grown on me to the point I actually like it and would possibly choose it over the conventional grill. I'm not sure about the strange clash of panel angles just behind the back doors on the M3 and the rear is very "meh! But the Bonnet is interesting, taking that shape that some American cars use with graphics on their "hoods" and turning it instead to a depression that is a 3D shape. The M240s weird triangle shapes look slightly more awkward to me than anything on the M3/4 and the rear of it is even more "meh". But the size and performance are definitely a plus Unfortunately I'm in the process of selling my M4 and the M2 is still over a year away.- So I went and bought a Jaaaag
So the reviews of the new 2 series are out today. Most of the ones I've seen so far are for the M240 X-Drive and they seem overwhelmingly positive. I do note that the car does have, once again, challenging looks and it's gone up in weight a bit, but Joe Achilles has got the car from 0-60 in around 3.7 seconds or so!!! Crazy. I wonder how fast the next M2 will be? Unfortunately, that car is probably still over a year away. Anyhoo here are a couple of video reviews of it if anyone wants to discuss the car....PLEASE DO NOT POST ANY LINKS TO VIDEOS IF ALL YOU ARE GOING TO DO IS QUOTE THE SUBJECT LINE OF THE YOUTUBE VIDEO AND BUGGER OFF AGAIN. For my money the new M3 still holds my attention most- Cars with nice backdrops...
I don't know why, but your Furby looks like it's about to take a big run-up at something Perhaps I'm reading too much into the picture- 2021 F1 Discussion
It's all kicking off at McLaren it seems. Autocar, one of the world's most respected magazines claimed Audi had bought McLaren, but now McLaren are strenuously refuting this claim. Autocar are usually pretty much spot on with these things, so it will be interesting to see what comes of the claim. I know BMW were also looking at buying McLaren.- 2021 F1 Discussion
What happened to Boss Fox? Did he sell his mad Yeti?- 2021 F1 Discussion
"In other news..." Audi has bought McLaren! I hope they don't want to rebrand the F1 team. Although the thoughts of a Škoda F1 team is interesting, as is a 4.0 litre V8 Fabia - It would still be slower than a mk1 2.0 petrol Furby of course.- 2021 F1 Discussion
I've just come across an article that claims Toto said the rear wing was 0.2 mm out of spec. Ouch!- 2021 F1 Discussion
What a race. The winner was undoubtedly superb and produced a masterclass- Suzuki Jimny
The title of this article sums up exactly how I feel. I just A.) Can't afford one B.) Can't figure out what I'd do with it https://www.carthrottle.com/post/you-can-now-buy-a-suzuki-jimny-with-portal-axles-and-yes-you-want-one/- So I went and bought a Jaaaag
- Either Mercedes are cheap, or Skoda are expensive...
The current CLA is a very good looking car imho, especially the AMG '45' version- Either Mercedes are cheap, or Skoda are expensive...
I couldn't work out how the petrol pump was connected to the fuel hose for a while- Lada Niva
As a big fan of the Niva, I am happy to report I have seen one in a trailer for the new series of Top Gear- Insurance break, but retaining your no-claims discount
Thanks Dan. I guess there might be a lot more people than normal wanting to exercise this 'freezing' feature with the huge lead times on so many cars at the moment. - So I went and bought a Jaaaag
