Performance !
oldeboi replied to Felicia racer's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda Forman
Get yourself onto clubpolo and look for a guy called poloace, ive used a few of his chips and can vouch for his work, keenly priced too. -
Im not familiar with the favorit but if the pluga are anything like the VAG cars of a same era as you look into the plug from where the wire enters you should see the that the connector has a spur that sticks out slightly. To remove the connector from the sleeve just use a small watch makers screwdriver to hold the spur back whilst easing it out of the sleeve.

If its the glass to frame seal you could try to replace the seal with something a bit more substantial. I can remember the company name now, (sorry) but there is a firm that advertise in the back of most of the classic car mags that sell hundreds of different profiles of rubber seal, may or may not be cheaper than an OE seal. -
Evening all! Got a pair of new front shockers on their way as one of the fronts are leaking and got a metallic knocking as i drive over a bump which appears to be coming from the the leaky drivers side shocker. Im going to fit them with new lower pinch bolts and top mounts while im there, Ive got a not-so-quick question.................... Ive got a bit of steering wheel wobble between 65-75mph and wondered if the new shocks would sort this or should i be looking to replace both lower arms complete with bushes while im there or is there likely to be another cause. Ive had a new set of wheels and tyres on there and the wobble is still there so i know its not the wheels. Is there anything else to consider replacing which is likely to require attention? Its all coming apart so I may as well do it all in one hit.

If you were willing to put the graft in and had the required skills, you could bulid one cheaper, obviously the labour is a large element. The mag it was featured in reckoned it cost iro 20K to build. -
leather?
oldeboi replied to skodafelicia's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda Forman
No, but they can make you one to fit your car and they will also make up the covers for you to fit and mail them to you, it will also look beter than an old L&K one. -

Favorit Seatbelt
oldeboi replied to Favoritman's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda Forman
I would check out the britax website or similar, i wouldnt want to use an old belt that im was unsure of the history, unless i was driving my ex-wife. -
I recall a mass debate within some VAG forums on this this subject a few years back where someone asked the same question. A lot of folk do this type of thing to loosen the crud in their engine but there were also those that had done it and ended up with the oil pressure warning buzzer sounding as all the loose crud that was flushed down into the sump blocked up the gauze on the oil pump strainer and starved the engine of oil. This is obviously not a problem if you are prepared to go the whole hog after using a flush and drop your sump down for a deep clean. My local Skoda dealer ALWAYS use an engine flush when carrying out an oil change, but then my local dealer were responsible for the engine in my VRS blowing up!

Jim Cotton swapped the old style bonnet for the new along with the bumpers. Shame he didnt get rid of that old style centre console while he was at it! -

It was originally on a private plate, ive found the feature-hardly a flattering write up. It tickles me that some people think it a selling point that a car is featured in "max power" -

I think the listing states its a 1.6 because Le Car simply put the reg number into the ebay listing page and that title is generated by ebay. Like already said, Skoda didnt build it-Awesome did. Ive got the article somewhere-Il dig it out. I do remember that the reverse gear was a bit of a pig to engage and made a nice clunk as it went in! 13K? Thats so funny!
