  1. Hope there is plenty of Skoda representatives there. This time last year, I was putting the finishing touches on my mk2
  2. While we are talking about buying and selling, I am returning my car back to standard so theres an Airlift 3P kit and a set of 20s up for grabs
  3. Looks awesome lad. Smooth the front bumper now :P
  4. How are we feeling about a meet over easter then guys?
  5. Definately a spread out bunch arent we lol. Looks like the cookstown area is the most central location for everyone
  6. Add to the list of where your from and we can see who wants a meet and choose a central location. 1. Richie - Crumlin 2. Gobsheene - Mallusk
  7. Actually sold it and bought a Fabia vRS which i ended up selling because it was too small. Moved to my current mk2 Octavia TFSI. If i had to choose, i would probably choose the 1.8t over the TFSI. The mk2 feels massive in comparison. Any more ideas on meet dates that would suit us all?
  8. My old Octavia. Aaron always kept it nice and clean and even let me drive it to the show that day. Might have to buy it back if i can convince myself i dont need a diesel.
  9. I'd be well up for a meet, although I may be leaving the Skoda stable to free up money for other projects. If thats the case, then i may ride shotgun with Gobsheene lol. Maybe too soon but how about over Easter at one of the Applegreens? Plenty of room and plenty of eating options?
  10. Boooo hiss I'd love it back but I have no need for any more cars right now ????
  11. They were sold to a local guy who put them on his A4 Avant
  12. Cheers bud. He did, but it wasn't ideal. This was confirmed by the trimmer who said it would be easier just to trim the base to match. Got the base back a few days ago. The trimmer tracked down the correct material and changed the stitching from white to red so it looks fantastic. Will post a couple of pics when I give the car a bit of a clean
  13. Front seats bolted straight in but the airbag plug needed changed. The rear back rest fitted with a bit of fettling and I am getting the rear lower retrimmed in the matching fabric and red thread so it will match 100%
  14. Being no stranger to Skoda ownership, it didn't surprise many when I arrived home from England with vRS number 4 to replace my Fabia. Here's the previous Skoda The Fabia was a great wee car but I just couldn't get used to the size. Something bigger was needed so the hunt was on for a newer Octavia. Then this popped up on eBay. It was petrol so after serious thought (and mainly getting talked into it by Gobsheene and veedubnoodle) I hopped on the plane and brought it home. Now, I was 99% sure I was getting an octavia so a few months earlier when a set of mk3 vrs seats showed up on eBay for fair money, I snapped them up so it wasn't long before they went in with a bit of soldering and fettling. Have to thank Redders for all the pics in his thread as it was well needed lol The only bit that couldn't be fettled to fit was the rear lower base so I will be getting the original base trimmed to match. The next thing on the list was suspension. After having an A4 avant on air I wanted to return to that so after a chat with Gavin at DesignRMC I opted for an Airlift 3P system with an OEM / discreet style install. As usual, he didn't disappoint The next thing on the list was to get rid of the wheels which I am not a fan of at all Had these lying about so test fitted a couple and they fitted nicely. They are 20" Audi Q5 wheels. So sent them of for a chemical strip and a respray. When they came back, they were looking a lot smarter Edition38 was getting very close but managed to squeeze in getting the grill colour coded and the car detailed by a buddy of mine before we set of on the 700 mile round trip. (Apologies for the long post)
  15. Sure don't invite me then :(I bet that car of yours had a really awesome previous owner lol
  16. Cheers bud. Shame on you for not noticing that it is a vintage Mitsubishi Charisma though lol
  17. Apologies for not making this guys, had my car booked in getting a little bit of work before he fecked of to Switzerland for a week. Promise to make the next one
  18. Evening folks. After a lot of abuse from my good buddy Niall (Gobsheene) I have got my password sorted and came back. Last time I was here, I had a mk1 Octavia vRS. I decided to give being sensible a go and bought a Fabia vRS. The mk1 went to another buddy Aaron (veedubnoodle on here I think) who loves it. The mpg was good, but the lack of boot space wore thin so I changed again to my current car which is a 2006 Octavia VRS TFSI. Have plenty of plans so will throw up a build thread.
  19. hello Brisky community Haven't been on here for a couple of years after selling my 01 Octavia vRS. At the time, I replaced my vrs with an Ibiza Cupra tdi. Really fun car but was too small so shifted it on. Replaced it with a sensible a4 avant, which turned out not so sensible after fitting it with Aitlift suspension and 19 inch Porsche wheels. Have returned now with an 04 Octavia vRS which I bought of Tomah, a fellow Brisky dweller. Same colour as my old one but much cleaner and much better spec. Will throw up a build thread as i have a few little things planned.
  20. Wish I could afford it lol. I thought the price of mk 2 tdi's would have wised themselves up a bit by now but quite clearly they haven't so I will have to wait a while longer. Have a nice a4 lined up to take over daily duties, just need to shift the Cupra. Anyone want an Ibiza Cupra TDI? :P
  21. Haven't been on here in ages so thought I would stick my head in lol That wee red Fabia was nice, loved the polo interior although I'm surprised the skoda category was so underrepresented. I regret selling my Octavia vRS so I will have to return to the stable again at some point lol Wouldn't mind a wee AUQ to slot under the bonnet of the mk2 :P
