  1. Hmmmm i might just leave it as a community vehicle, i get what you mean for insurance purposes, i guess i can insure it on the old mans name and add me as a driver. I love it too much to get rid of it and yeah like you say for the sake of 2k i may as well keep it lol only problem is i think il find myself driving the fabia more than the golf lol man these new cars kill the sensation of speed

  2. Right so after around 18months of the Fabia VRS, spending £££s on it! Including Eibach 30mm springs, s3 front brakes, octy rear brakes, black spiders with 4 new pirelli p zero tyres, full polybush kit all around!, darkside egr delete, backbox chop, amd remap, s2000 filter and mauch more ive prob forgot... Ive now got my delivery date for my Limestone Grey Golf R as 1 August! But im having a hard time coming to terms of selling the Fabia, been a loyal hardoworking friend and for a 55 plate is still low millaege at 96k with full history!

So im wondering do i keep both or sell the Fabia :S

Any advice welcome and also if anyone knows what my fabia would retail at

    Thanks

  3. Hi everyone

To a point where im considering lighting a match to the car!

So coolant kept going at a alarming rate (Max to min in about 1mile!!)

Whipped the engine cover off and seen the dreaded heater matrix pipes were snapped and bracket broke

So got to TPS put on new pipes, bracket and 2 lovely o seals!

Started it ran it 45mins thought jobs a good un' oh no no no, took it for a drive and same thing! Still leaking around the bolts

Right so in the rain tonight managed to get the pipes off and re fit the seals, a few trys later its still weeping from there, albeit a bit less!

Now im wondering if theres a way of putting the seals on?

Ive got some thicker seals which i might try tomorrow, now someone said possible Heater Mateix but cant see no evidence, still get hot air, no leak, no smell and from the bulkhead looks clean and cant feel no corrosion

    Any ideas?

  4. Ive had on P Zero Pirelli on Octavia Spiders on my fabia all around brand new, had them on for around 1000miles, spin is much less and all round grip is very good. Excellent in the dry and good in the wet, no edge of seat moments so far and i am surprised at how good they seem to be wearing

  5. Got breakdown with onward traval so if i breakdown a d they cant get me back on track on the side of the road, they will tow me home / garage and give me a car for 3days.

I have used this in the past, they came, saw my camshaft sensor had gone, towed me to my local mechanic and gave me a reference number to use at enterprise. Went to the airport enterprise (whichever is open and closest to you, being late on a sunday airport was the only one open) and drove away in a vauxhall astra for 3days and returned no hassle / quibble. Only thing is you have to make your own way to the car pick up point. This is sll included in my rac premium plan

On the contrary i have had a BMW dealer breakdown and car cover, process was near enough identical bar getting me a brand new 120d msport for 3 days...

  6. Hi! Great choice in the 335d xdrive!

A friend of mine bought 1 new with the full m performance kit, with the 20" wheels, and all the carbon bits and it drove lovely! A real motorway cruiser with effortless power!

Being the xdrive it will sit higher, be warned the 335d xdrive without the m performance suspension is mediocre at best handling and suspension doesnt really inspire confidence, so if you can get a testdrive in both and feel how much difference the m performance suspension makes.

Apart from that the ideal all round car with blend of power and economy.

P.S DTUK do a tuning box which makes it stupidly fast and you plug in and out and was not detected by the dealer wheb the car had warranty work done to it :)

  7. So had a little incident with a flat bed recovery truck, long story short, the guy scraped the front passenger side of my car as well taking out the Foglight Cover on a MK1 VRS

Went on eBay, seen prices from 22.99 to 49.99 just for the Foglight cover.

Phoned my local Skoda Dealer (Wolverhampton) both parts of the grill, 13.00!!!

So if anyone else needs to replace theres, miss out Ebay and go straight to the Dealer!!

  8. More to think about, to be honest i am leaning towards the CG SMF and Paddle, mainly due to getting 1 that has been used for 5000miles for next to nothing, but im still 50/50 lol
