  1. Sorry for all the posts I'm not sure how I've done it?, my number is 07531238624 if anybody wants any info cheers..Lee
  2. For sale is my fabia Vrs, long story but here goes (no laughing), I changed the oil filter the other week as I had a spare one at home thinking I'd give it an oil and filter change when I had time. Unfortunately the box that had the oil filter in had the lid missing (cardboard), unbeknown to me a flipping side light bulb had got into it at some point that I didn't know about. Anyways to cut a long story short it starved the turbo feed pipe thus knackering my turbo I removed the old turbo and tried to get a new one before I had an operation to plate my collarbone back together, this didn't happen so I ended up having to do it after my operation (2wk after). I've put it all back together but sure as **** it's gone again most probably as I hadn't checked the feed pipe?? I fit a new radiator and egr cooling pipe to it a few weeks back and it's also had the silly matrix pipes that go into the bulkhead replaced with the one piece plastic pipe. The car runs out of MOT tomorrow (4th) It had new discs and pads 2months ago. Reasonable condition with one or two scratches. Rear bumper was replaced and sprayed. Drivers seat has the usual hole in it. Only done 107,000. There is a strange small dent on the n/s sill, no idea how it happened and there's no paint missing around it? I'm looking to sell it as simply don't have the money or health to fix it Looking for £1000 ono Attached Thumbnails
  3. Cheers i'll give them a try an see but not holding out much hope, wonder if newer covers will be any better than the original rubbish, like em but not with big holes in them :-(
  4. sorry if it's been covered (no pun) before but can you get new fab Vrs seat covers (upright and seat base) from main dealers or anywhere else as finally gonna get rid of the metal on show on my drivers seat :-) They're cloth not leather :-(
  5. can you still buy covers as am in need of both driver seat and upright? mine have gone in the usual place
  6. Well dare I say it, I think I've done it, picked up the plastic pipe connector today an set about fitting it with the new hose. The plastic part bolted to the heater matrix good an even felt better when going in compared to th $h1te alloy £54 pipes I ended up cutting up for sleeves to connect pipes, got a plumber to make a U out of bends to join the one that goes to the block and fingers an toes crossed it will be good. Goes to show the previous set up was rubbish when they do away with it on the mk2's.. Big thanks to AshVrs cheers for doing yours previously and confirming what I was thinking ;-)
  7. Hose is ordered and shipped, might bob into the scrappy today an see if there's an old fabia or polo with one on, otherwise I'll just buy one, wish I could've sorted it before now as gotta drive from the lakes to Hastings in ma dads crv which is mucho thirsty compared to the Vrs :-(
  8. Lol good to hear I'm not on my own as literally pulling my fekkin hair out, the alloy pipes are pants an wish Skoda had mentioned this fix but sayin that they have to put em back to factory spec I guess ey?
  9. Ahh right, I presume they're easier to seal then?, I've spent too much time desperately praying today with them $h!t alloy pipes £54 from Skoda (not bad compared to what everyone says but still)
  10. AshVrs you're a superstar, I've seen that matrix radiator on eBay off a 99-04 fabia an that's how I got the idea, what was it like to get the old one out?, not too bad or an arse.. Cheers for your help, one last thing is does it get affected by heat off the exhaust or is it ok? Cheers
  11. Well after another full day trying to seal the matrix pipes I've given up?, has anybody ever removed the heater radiator as I'm wondering about swapping it for one from a different model with fixed pipes that I can fit long hoses onto!, seriously starting to think about bypassing it an trading it in, I loved it until this week :-(
  12. I just attempted mine tonight as going away in a few days and just saw all my new anti freeze trickle down the road, pi$$ede off I tried sealing again but filled with just water an the same thing happened? gonna try again in the morning when it's daylight an use a mirror to take a better look. Going on holiday at end of week (Lakes to Hastings) so gotta be right. All is accessible from above though so that's a plus as off work recovering from broken collarbone (not fun)
  13. As well as rear doors leaking isn't there sometimes a problem with the cabin/pollen filter needing to be replaced that sometimes causes misting up? Check your carpets first and if dry then try that.
  14. I'll have the little clip that holds the sun-visor in place on the drivers visor, my mrs broke ours and need a new grey one.
  15. As above guys, any idea's, every now and then my clock goes forward an hour when I put a load of diesel in? Also the diagnostic light is on and saying number 2 glow plug and cam sensor, both of which have been replaced?, starts fine though so thinking not cam sensor?, any idea's anyone....
  16. ring around for a full engine/turbo out of a written off car, there's gotta be one somewhere?, if metal has gone into the engine then i'd hazard a guess that it may have caused damage to the head meaning possible bent valves so you may be after a head too so a complete engine looks even more appealing
  17. glad you replaced the battery as it sounded buggered, if it held charge it wouldn't need to charge that high unless maybe evrything in the car was switched on. have you thought about getting it plugged in for diagnosis as it could save you money in the long run :-) the bouncing rev's could be the engine trying to charge the buggered battery too!
  18. Is there a sensor for the flywheel and if so can it be checked? How accurate is the glow plug test your mechanic did and does it do it when hot or cold or both, also does it sometimes start fine?
  19. I was on the motorway a few week back at night in thick fog and I went down to just side lights as it was better for seeing, a BMW X5 went flying past with all his lights on with the white lines between his wheels for sight, he was all over the place
  20. Don't bother with left foot braking cos you'll alway's end up changing down when the turbo lags and only end up head butting the windscreen :-0
  21. I wouldn't bother with any oil cleaner/lifter cleaner or anything like that, if it's been fully serviced there's no reason it should be full of cack. Get a manual whip the cover off and get measuring the bucket clearances rather than thinning the oil with that stuff.
