  3. Someone hit my parked car, front left wing, wheel and scraped door plastic strips, along the left side. Car is pulling to the right on slow test drive and steering wheel is 30 degrees off when on straight, yellow triangle with circle arrow is on dash when in motion. Insurance declare it total loss, tomorrow old girl will be picked up by CoParts. That is it, end of 1800rpm 70mph costing on M1, **** day. 5. Hello All First thanks for the advice and reassurance that the Edition 100 gear lever can be replaced with the Superb Elegance model. Thanks to KKBC and all of you posting bits and bobs about it. The Tiptronic button on my gear selector got a bit wobbly, and by not listening to the elders and wise ones from this forum (it’s not will it, it's when it will go) I got myself in a bit of a pickle. Gear selector got stuck on to the P position and no budging. Option_1 £427 Inc. VAT from TPS for non-trading sale of original Edition 100 Tiptronic. 2-5 weeks waiting as no part is available in the UK Option_2 £100 Inc. 8. What I found today...... It is for my Kenwood DNX 7260 BT ..... still no Skoda listed in car options... But there is passat and there is hope... http://www.justkenwood.co.uk/car-audio.aspx/ctsvw004-ken-remote-adaptor Still no radio info on central console / dashboard-mounted display ( still black ) and steering wheel commands working ...according to promotional blurb QUOTE ________________________________________________________________________________________ CTSVW004.2 VW remote control interface for Kenwood key features The Connects 2 CTSVW004.2 stalk/steering wheel control adaptor enables you to connect a compatible Kenwood head unit to your vehicle's existing factory-fitted audio controls (whether built onto steering wheel or fitted on a stalk next to the steering wheel). The kit contains everything needed to complete the stalk control connection - a vehicle-specific adaptor and a Kenwood-specific connecting wire. You simply plug one end of the adaptor into your cars original wiring harness, and the other end into the new head unit. Instructions are included and no cutting of wires is necessary. Fits vehicle models including: VW Golf VW Passat VW Touran The above list of vehicles is a general guide and cannot be guaranteed in all cases. To ensure compatibility, we recommend that the vehicle connector pictured above is compared to the actual connector on your vehicle. If you have a dashboard-mounted display of audio information, replacing your radio will mean that this will no longer show audio information but it will continue to show clock, temperature etc. _______________________________________________________ END There must be way and will.....

  14. I finaly got it Skoda Superb and not just Superb, Superb Edition 100 1.9 130 Auto After months of lurking on BriSkoda forum, trying to learn the ropes of what is what and what is not, what to look for, what to touch and what to ask,and most importanttly when to say No Thanks, it is not for me, my time has finaly come. Amount of lemons, brused and battered neglected Skoda Superbs with water ingres, cat C write off, water in front lights, etc etc , I got one, I got THE one, in my eyes at least. Mint for the age as mint can be, Everything is working /55 plate / 78000 mil /cambelt changed TWICE / more paperwork than old style Yellow Pages / aftermarket Kenwood DNX7260BT with DVB /Skoda leather wallet with Skoda brushed metal pen in it.......... c'mon how can I miss this one :p I was lucky that owner is/was a extremly knowlegable, patient and polite ( BriSkodian ofcourse ) whom most probably I force in to sale by choking him with the sheer amount of questions I asked OK thanks for all of your reply, suport and whatnot, and now finaly some photos Edition 100 Image posting is not good for me, forum flashing me some errors , sorry just link :( Thanks guys, will let you kow how things going.....
  15. Thank you, all of you for your reply  Thank you Rotodisel for you extensive and thorough insight of B5 mechanic tips solutions and troubles.. reason I became such hard buying customer is because of you and all of Briskodian good people willing to share their troubles and advices.. What is really annoying me is dishonesty of sellers. How you can not to mention tear on back floor carpet, and reply on question "whats happens here m8" with "you know some people who are you sitting at back got sharp heels" After pointing on tinny skinny blue wire (BT phone type of wire) showing under plastic on door-floor cower (one that all of you/us lift to check water ingress), his comment was "it it is for sub-woofer" after my comment "do not talk rubbish you need wire thick as pencil at least to power sub", he sad I got another wire from another side, at this point me feeling run down and fed-up and pi** off from all of this rubbish talk (and being 6'7" and enough/more stones and pounds that I'm willing to admit) pull boot carpet out of the car and drop it on the street and blatantly ask him "where is your sub-woofer"? Oh and the boot carpet was crinkly from water.... he sad I don't now.......? What the @~P@:£...... OK, I admit it is hard to found car that you will love and buy at first sight.... But that 98% of them don't know of water ingress, or why vanity lights on your sun shield is not working.....It is hard to understand. At least for me.... I'm convinced that one special Superb will come my way and I will be happy to drive it to Rotodiesel (if he is OK with this) to fix all obvious things with my new/old Superb will have (20% off current rate for Briskoda members ) So if any of you parting from your Superb......... with water ingress sorted, and reverse parking sensors..you know the story, please let me know Until that time, thanks, all the best and good luck Zoka
  16. So..... After more than welcome advices by you BriSkodian good people, here is state of the affairs Cars that I will describe here are still on sale so no reg numbers no pictures, no direct links but if you are going to search Auto Trader, Gum Tree (London area) and Flee bay for Superb 1.9 Comfort or Elegance you will find cars that are described, deserted, neglected and not look after.. Let me elaborate..Skoda's that I sow so fare Blue Elegance Luton area guy is or was car mechanic, car did have water issue, all done sorted, front disk replaced, CCM is working, wire loom was rewired, re-solderer, paint almost perfect, so..... After excitement of me finding my ideal Superb, one day later I decide to do HPI check (don't advice me to do it BEFORE car viewing, damage is done or not??) So HPI come back as Category C write off.......... It was done before he bought it......... Beige Comfort... down south.... some rust that was not described in the adds on web... water was almost touching bottom of battery....., CCM function not perfect no vanity light function (parking sensors where shoot.... windshield was scratched .... Beige superb in Newbury area, after chasing seller to admit connection between private plate TXI XXXXXX and minicab businesses, car leak coolant fluid on test drive........front bumper fit poorly, traces of stop-leak in coolant....... relay was ticking all the time (water in the front left light..) ~Black classic auto dirty inside. so dirty, no service book........ Blue superb London area full example of BriSkoda forum warnings..... No internal lighting at all.... smell of standing water.. water traces in the boot....... odd rust bits and boob Will I ever found mu Superb..... Thanks for all of yours advices and your posts, which make me wise buyer of Superb I will continue to look for my Skoda
