  1. Hi all, im currently looking at one of these and have been advised by Maxton that the heat deforming issue is being looked into, but i can buy one if i want but without any option to return if it does deform. Has anyone that has this fitted got any more feedback or theorys about the cause of the deformation. Thanks
  2. Hi my vRS didn't come with a vRS badge on the front grille I ordered one off Super Skoda but it is the prefacelift version (longer RS section and doesn't line up with the grille slats) . Does anyone have the part code for the FL version?
  3. Thanks for the reply peeps. After toting up the price for the mods I wanted to do to my SE L I decided that the difference in price wasnt too far off geting a 2nd hand vRS. So I have traded my SE L in and got myself a 2018 Octy vRS Diesel with DSG and 4 wheel drive. Should be picking it up in a couple of weeks.
  4. Hi as the title surgests would the 312mm brakes off the front of the diesel mk3 vRS fit on to a mk3 SE L diesel. Im assumeing that a set of 312 carriers and the callipers and the metal shield behind the hub would be all that i need.
  5. Shark are realy good I thought the car would strugle to put the power down but no issues, their map is so smooth smoke wise there is no difference. Its scary how quickly the car picks up now. The STS system is worth having as well as it gives you options. Clutch wise im runniing the CG Motorsport dual friction clutch with a SMF its an excelent choice of clutch. It should give 40% increase on torque load compared to OEM clutch so thats about 430lb of torque. Feel wise its slightly heavier and there is some slight judder when setting off slowly but on fast get aways it launches like a missile!

  15. Hi All, Sorry for the late post but things have been mad busy and the cars clutch has gone so I have been running around like a headless chicken getting money together to fix the motor (may as well do the planed uprated clutch at the same time). Coupled with finishing college, decorating the house and promotions at work has ment that the meet ended up on the back burner. so i will be pushing it back a week, ill post up later tonight with the details. see you all next week. See below link for the revised meet http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/362441-july-meet-the-harvester-ol7-0pg-12th-july/
  16. i would be up for this as long as I can get my car back on the road after a clutch failure hopefully I'll be running in the next three weeks. I would love to go and see XH558 as we need to keep this iconic piece of British engineering flying just so we can hear the famous Vulcan howl. I actualy saw her first flight after her restoration (pictures and video on my flickr page - https://www.flickr.com/photos/a_huge_amoeba/sets/72157651360706679) towards the bottom.
  17. Sorry andy cant make it my concentric slave cylinder has gone and taken the clutch with it so new cluch and accessories needed at the moment may as wll uprate in prep for the remap at the end of the year.
  18. Theres a little leaver on the inside of the filler neck that can be depressed with the fuel nozel. It releases the air from the expansion tank and replaces it with fuel if you do this though you need to do a decent drive soon after or you risk damaging the pressure seals on the fuel tank.
  19. 380 with mixed driving is about right I can get about 450 if doing sustained motorways. (420 mixed driving and about 480 on sustained motorways if I fill the expansion tank as well.)
  20. Unfortunately its beyond bleeding as its dumped all the hydraulic fluid on the road :(
  21. picked my mate up tonight with the intention of going for a drink at a nice pub with a large bear garden in Oldham. On the way there pressed the clutch to change down from 3rd to 2nd and clutch remained on the floor and no gear selected so quickly pulled over realizing that the original clutch had given up. Unfortunately its gone three months before I was planning to replace the clutch, fly and slave cylinder. with OEM fly, cylinder and a CG motorsport stage 2 clutch. AA came out and said that the slave cylinder had given up. So ended up on a low loader to the house so now I have to sort out the parts and hopefully my trusty garage can do the work next logistical challenge is getting the car to them. :'( However the bonus was both AA guys first words were "nice car!" but my car still hates me.
  22. Apexi dual cone airfilter in a box, pd160 air intake and darkside frontmount and pipes. This gives you a slight flutter noise if you lett off the gas as the turbo spools up and its not to loud as to be anoying. You also get the tishh noise when you change up.
  23. All car and the more the merrier. after all were all car enthusiasts
