  1. j0hn's post in talk to me about stages for vrs was marked as the answer
There are ways around spending ££££s. I got some of my parts (exhaust, intercooler, intake) second hand and offset the cost by selling off OE parts. It's always worth finding out if you can have your car used as a guinea pig for any new or development products. I've got 320bhp and 370 lb ft and I think it's cost me about half what it would have done to go stage 3. It's never going to be cheap and you're never going to add value to your car but it's all part of the fun I guess. I don't smoke, I'm not a big drinker and I've got all the guitars I need so I have to do something

Take the fusebox cover off, you'll probably find a bolt that holds the dash or some kind of brace in place that's a metal bolt through metal. Buy a pack of crimp on loops in Halfords, crimp on to the earth connection, remove the bolt and pass it through the earth loop when you replace it.
