  2. Does the loom have a passthrough for the mic to allow the mic to be connected via the quad lock, and not directly into the box under the seat?
  3. Evening all. I’m in the process of fitting another RNS510 to the current car along with my old 7p6 Bluetooth kit. In the last car it was a pain to run the mic cable down the a pillar, under the carpet and into the Bluetooth box. I’ve seen a post on my-gti.com that suggests I can use the mic connector position in the quad lock connector, however the loom I have has a blank where it would connect to the mic. Is a loom available that will let me achieve what I want to do or will I have to bite the bullet and go under the carpet?
  4. Are diesel and petrol pedals (specially throttle pedal) the same? I'm thinking of pulling out the vRS pedals from my TFSI and transplanting them into a diesel.
  5. The car doesn't have front parking sensors - they would be listed if so. I don't want to split the interior, but the full interior is still available. Along with everything in the list in the first post, minus the engine.

  7. Text lifted straight from a Facebook post I'm going to strip this as selling it as a complete car is a headache. It's got everything minus exhaust, front brakes and an airbox. There are also some go faster bits on it which meant it ran 330 bhp and 400 lb ft on what was probably quite a conservative map. Plus some Spax Coilovers and a Gucci clutch. If you want me to hold anything, I will do so for two weeks, with a non refundable 10% deposit, held in a savings account. If it's my fault we go past 2 weeks, you'll get your 10% back. Cash on collection preferred, but if you want to pay by PayPal, then you cover the fees to avoid any disputes (unless you're collecting and then you can pay with a gift when you collect). 18" Zeniths on winters. Collection preferred from Leicester LE3 or LE9 or you can book your own courier for stuff I can get into the garage at the office.

  9. I've listed this for sale as a complete car, but there's no harm in listing the parts as well. It's an 07 car which has no exhaust, airbox/induction kit or brakes (at all) and will need only those to get it running. 113k on the clock, has maxidot, jumbo box, 30 byte CECM for cornering fogs, auto lights/wipers/mirrors, 2zone climate, 4ew, cruise and factory xenons. It also has a BBT (Beach Buggy Turbos) K03 hybrid, S3 injectors, THS intercooler and RS4 FPRV. If anybody wants a stock BWA and ECU capable of 330 bhp and 400 lbs ft, I'll let the complete engine and intercooler go for £1250. 6 speed gearbox (came out of a 60k car after mine broke) with a Helix Organic clutch (£650 in parts and labour) £380 Xenons - £250 Full vRS interior (i can try and get the roof liner out) - £250 18" Zeniths (needs refurb, one hit a pothole but is straight) on Nokian Winters 225/40/18 - £250 The whole car is listed for £1800 so if you're after the engine and gearbox, then it might be worth you trailering the car away. I'm reluctant to start taking anything off without a committed interest in the big parts (i.e., engine)
  10. I started breaking the vRS with a view to putting it back to standard, but am going to list the remains as a complete car. When it was running it did 330 bhp and 400 lbs ft on an R Tech map and has the capability to run 360 bhp at the expense of a bit of torque. The remaining go fast bits are: BBT hybrid K03 turbo, S3 injectors, THS intercooler, RS4 fuel pressure return valve. It also has a 28mm H&R front anti roll bar fitted. I value those bits around the £1000 mark A Helix Organic clutch was fitted at a cost around £650. It's also got a 30 byte CECM (for cornering fogs and a couple of other bits) and an updated CAN gateway so it'll run a Columbus without draining the battery. I fitted a Cobra parkmaster kit for PDC on the rear, which looks like a flush fit factory kit. One of the sensors needs a new sticky pad to secure it. It's also got Team Heko wind/rain deflectors, FL rear lights and a set of Pro Rack Whispbars (£170) fitted, which I'll leave on. Factory fitted kit includes Maxidot, Jumbo Box, Cruise, 4ew, Xenons, 18" Zeniths, auto lights/wipers/mirrors It has no exhaust, no brakes and no air intake/airbox. It's running a standard fuel pump, which will need uprating if you want to run the full power (and might throw a wobble with the current map with a stock pump). Ideally it will need a good turbo back exhaust for the tuning potential and a good induction kit. I have a set of rear calipers that could do with a rebuild, but it needs the works - calipers, pads and discs. It is still MOTd until October, has 113k on the clock. It was keyed by some scrote about 18 months ago and needs paint. The bottom of the N/S rear door is also rusty. I want £1800 for it. It's at my mate's workshop in Leicestershire, so we can either get the parts that you supply fitted and you can drive it away, or you'll have to trailer it. I'm open to some parts plus cash deals - specifically some front calipers for the same platform - either TT-RS and the fitting kit for a 340mm disc, Porsche 996 Turbo calipers and the kit to run a 330mm disc or some S3/R32/TT-S calipers and carriers. If anybody reputable does a stage 2 PD170 map and wants the car for cash + a map, get in touch. It's on the original KU07 EFY reg, as the private plate has been sold. Drop me a PM with any questions.

  12. Still got a few bits knocking around including THS intercooler, like an alloy S3 intercooler but bigger. £300 posted. H&R 28mm (the big one) front anti roll bar. £160 posted (it's heavy). 7p6 Bluetooth and glovebox MDI. The loom for the Bluetooth kit incorporates the MDI, which makes it easier to jam the cables in somewhere. £180 for the complete kit posted. Needs a mic. Fiscon basic plus Bluetooth. Works with Bolero and RNS510 and cars with Maxidot. Can use the wiper stalk rocket switch to answer/end calls and scroll through phone book in Maxidot display. Also has a few basic functions including fuel capacity, voltage, engine speed and oil temp. Displays boost pressure in bar and psi on Diesel engines only. £80 posted.
