69 Karoq 1.5sel Almost blank infotainment displays
Asked locally if anyone has VCDS but all I'm getting back is I have something similar!!!! I've had VCDS in the past and seen what can happen with "other" makes of fault code reader are used. Not going to risk it. Did think of getting the unlimited hex net v2 as it is useful and I did some things for other owners when I had my original VCDS. It is, however, not cheap.

69 Karoq 1.5sel Almost blank infotainment displays
The centre display shows which door is open individually when opened and displays all open when opened together, including the boot and bonnet. Had a look on the VCDS who's where and there are a couple along the M27 / A27 corridor. Might have to give one a shout. Rueing the day I got rid of my Octavia.

69 Karoq 1.5sel Almost blank infotainment displays
Having been out this evening, all exterior lights work, cornering etc. The dash and switch lights are illuminated, however, they are slightly dimmer than normal. Also, when I went to get the dog out, no boot lights, definitely not normal. This is either really simple or going to be really expensive!!

69 Karoq 1.5sel Almost blank infotainment displays
Further investigations conducted :- Battery disconnection for an hour - no change. Pressing the on button to reset the infotainment - no change. All fuses checked correct internal and engine bay. All exterior lights working as expected. See below for headlights. However, the headlights remain ON in auto irrespective of the time of day. Upto the point of this issue occuring, when opening the door, no internal lights (all checked correct and original, not LEDs), came on except at night. Now, however, only the two little lights that illuminate the gear stick come on and do not go out irrespective whether, the engine is actually running, or the ignition is on but engine not running irrespective of the ambient light levels. Whilst the two little lights remain illuminated, the centre display, the dials and the main infotainment display are extremely dark, suspect that they are at night time light level. Once the engine is stopped when parked and a few seconds have elapsed, the two little lights go out and all displays return to full brightness!!!! Current line of thought is that the light sensor that determines when the headlights come on in auto, is not happy (because the headlights remain on), therefore the car thinks its dark. The lack of internal lights is possibly due to some sort of canbus conflict. And the investigation continues. Can someone confirm that the sensor for light is in the same place as the rain sensor.

69 Karoq 1.5sel Almost blank infotainment displays
Good evening, Both the infotainment main display and the centre displays are almost blank. I say almost but you can just make out the info them. When you first switch on all good, however, once the engine starts, the displays dim to almost nothing. Altering the brightness, difficult and had to be in the shade, makes no difference. Conducted factory default reset, still no difference. Anyone any info greatly received.

Boot Door Open Warning
Driving down to Dorset this weekend, my wife dropped the sun visor, yes it does occasionally shine, and the vanity mirror light was already on. Next thing I know, maxidot flashes up that the boot door is open! Quickly pulled over to check but all is secure. Set off again, boot warning flashed up again, turned off vanity light and no warning, turned on again just to check and got a warning. Next, opened glove box and hey presto warning comes on. Pressed the micro switch to turn the light out, with the glove box open, and the warning goes off. Repeated with the drivers sun visor, light on, light off, and no warnings. This has only occurred since the rear view mirror incident, it fell off, yes really. If anyone has a wiring diagram that I can chase this through, that would be much appreciated. If this has to go back to the dealers, they have one chance left before this car goes back on their stock books. Starting to wonder what other gremlins could be germinating/hatching/lurking around here.
