I agree with all these points.

I've just had a second reminder about the "emissions service action" in the post in an envelope labelled Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency - Final Reminder. I shall not be having the update done. 2012 2l 110 HP Yeti S. Only 5,000 miles from new - all long fast journeys. Norry

It could be the connection between the battery and the starter - check the terminals on the heavy battery cables (both the earth -ve and the +ve) and on the starter (but that will be difficult to reach) or it could be the starter motor itself that is faulty. It could be the ignition switch but not if you are sometimes getting a click from another relay or the starter solenoid. Is the battery fully charged? If it isn't that could cause the problem but it is starting eventually so maybe not. Norry

It is in a pretty stupid location which is going to get a lot of wet in its interior. Norry

I marked mine with a blob of white paint so they are visible. Norry

It's not even pointing forwards!

I don't use it often at all but it sounds so cheap, just a "beep" and not very loud. I cannot believe that other motorists would take any notice of it! Norry

I hate the sound of the horn on my S Yeti. I'd really like a nice pair of Windtones (or the modern equivalent). Has anyone upgraded their Yeti horn to a decent sound? How difficult is it to get at the horn and its wiring? Thanks, Norry.

I had 3 between 1960 and 1970, 2 in company cars - not had one since. I have been stopped for speeding 4 times before 1990 and let off with a warning (twice by radar and once by following police car and once when I overtook a police car!) And once in about 1973 went to court and found not proved. Norry

I don't think that is a logical conclusion to draw!! Norry

That is probably just a kid-on to make it seem like a worthwhile job!! Nothing just involving software on a car could take that long. Norry
-
Exactly!! They have not been able fixed the emissions with this software or they would have done it the first time round. The whole business is rubbish! Norry
-
I would not mind but the whole fiasco is crazy. Our cars have a piece of software that detects when they are being tested for emissions for type approval, so what the dickens has that got to do with normal every day use? The whole thing is ridiculous! I certainly will not allow them to mess with my car. Norry

Same here - ditto! norry

With those 18" wheels you won't be bored - vibrated but not bored!!!
