Good luck keeping it clean. I had a sprint yellow Octavia vRS and it barely lasted a day before showing signs of roadgrime.
Lol. Your absolutely right...it lasted about 12 hours. The heavens opened and is caked in mud.

There's a nice little Rallye green number trawling around the Stocport Area. Not seen any others

I ordered a Rally Green VRS Hatch on the 12th August 2013. It arrived early this week and I picked it up yesterday. Done 50 miles what a car. I had a VRS 61 plate which I traded in. The new car is everything I expected and more. The metallic green is a beautiful colour, yet its a personal taste and that's why I chose the colour. I will post some pics once it stops P££££$G down.

Hi,
soapy is correct, status 10 is a provisional build week (and can change alot), status 20 is a confirmed build week and usually only appears 1-3 weeks before the actually build.
Status 36 and 38 are do with shipping after the car has been built, sorry I don't know the exact meaning of each.
Status 36: Vehicle in Port of exit (not released)
Status 38: Vehicle in Port of exit (released to shipping)
Hope that helps

Reading some of the posts made me smile........
I ordered a VRS Hatch in August 2013. Build week 44, no meant to say 46, whoops 48, sorry my bad week 50!! Still code 10 Mr dunbar no build week confirmed. What about an estate?? No thanks!!
Its simple gramatical manc accent from me. I make no apologies nor should I. Ranting and raving deffinately will get me nowt (nothing). Writing a letter would go someway to appease my current frustration, however feel that this route actually - still would not change a single thing. Skoda need to seriously take a look at the current dis-sasatisfaction levied against them and choose whether they continue to P@@S the majority of their customers off. Change nothing...nothing changes. There are some that could end up with ordering a new vehicle in 2013 and not having it until late to mid 2014 - some 10 - 12 months after the launch date. Common skoda you dont need a PHD in Customer Satisfaction to realize that this is a Monumuntal own goal on your part.

Demand is out stripping supply that's all, it's a measure of how good the Octavia really is that production requirements have been underestimated.
Skoda have two options...
1. Increase production by lowering quality control and speeding up production rates. (Not what we want)
2. Increase production capacity by building more production space and employing/training more staff.
The latter takes time and until they ramp up production there will be a waiting list.
Andy
Hi Andy, I totally agree with your comments. However lets not forget the new Octavia was launched on the 11th July 2013. SKODA must have realized there was going to be a demand - lets at least have supply contingency. The demonstrators should have been ordered and built for the showrooms prior or as near to launch day as possible. It makes no sense to start this after launch. Orders will back up customers will get frustrated and ultimately leave. They've made a monumental mistake by doing this and the boardroom at SKODA need a good kick up the arse.
Lets say I get my new motor on the 13th January 2014 - Thats 6 months post launch.
Are the competition better or worse? Ill take a punt on better!! Its simply not good enough,
Rant over,
Paul

I ordered an Octavia rallye green VRS (Hatch) on the 13th August 2013 at Lookers Stockport. Provisionally given build week 46. Spoke to SUK and advised this has moved to week 48 but not confirmed. Cust Services stated from Week 45 onwards - VRS Hatch demonstrators being built. Not sure when I will see this. However asked whether I would consider an estate? To which I replied thanks but no thanks. Your car should be with you in early to late January she replied. if its confirmed I'm going to cancel. Not impressed SKODA Not impressed!!

I ordered an octavia racing green VRS on the 13th August 2013 at Lookers Stockport. They could not have been more friendly or accommodating. Today I have been given a status 10 with a provisional build date of week 46. Fingers crossed I will see this early Jan 2014.
