  1. Apologies for the delay, but thanks for the advice. Some additonal things for me to consider.
  2. So, I've placed an order for an Enyaq 80 Sportline Plus with the Maxx Pack in Metallic Grey. This is to replace my 2020 Superb Estate L&K. Between Road Tax and diesel prices, its just getting too expensive. Now just a six month or so wait... Anyhow, this also means i now need to invest in a home charger. With the lead time, at least I have some time to consider the options here. My plan is to put something on Checkatrade for a quote, and have come up with the following questions. Is there anything I have missed and should also be asking? Make and model of charger(s) Details on plug type Length of included charging cable Cost per meter of a longer cable Time to complete installation How much notice would you need for installation
  3. Yep. Functions normally as expected. The fuse is not blowing when in place. Removing the fuse clealry prevents the drain on the battery compared to when the fuse is in place.
  4. My partner's 62-plate Fabia Monte Carlo has a clear short circuit with the rear wiper. How do I know this? Well, after only a few days left undriven the battery gets drained. Removing the fuse (No. 26) means that this doesn't happen. Jump starting the battery is fine, and the alternator is recharging as expected. What I'm wondering is, is there anything I can do about sorting this without resorting to a auto-electrician?
  5. It is just a generic 1080p dash cam, and more than likely has an un-shielded cable, hence my issue.
  6. I was thinking the same. I do have one, but it is for a wider cable and therefore doesn't fit very well so when I tried it, it didn't seem to work.
  7. I have a 2020 Superb L&K Estate and have recently started using a dashcam attached just behind the rear view mirror on the left hand side on the hatched area. The camera is powered from the 12v socket using the cable that came with it. I have started noticing that the camera - well cable - is interfering with the DAB reception. What I'd like to know is where is the DAB aerial located? I always assumed it was the sharkskin to the rear of the roof. Alternatively, are there any suggestions as to how I can reduce/remove the interference? I have tried feeding the cable in various directions, but to no obvious benefit.
  8. Hi. I am having problems with the Oneapp on Android and being able to log in to the app. A couple of weeks back I noticed that the app was starting to ask me to re-enter my logon details. For a couple of times, this was fine and it logged me back in. Then, all of a sudden it started to reject my credentials and I am no longer able to log in. I have changed my password. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. All to no avail. I am able to log on to the website and in to the Connect app with the exact same credentials, but not in to the One App. I have logged a call with Skoda, but still have no resolution. In fact, the last update of "We're working on a fix" I found a bit dismissive, probably because I work for a software company and know full well how the Service Desk can palm you off with vagaries on where a possible defect lies. To clarify, I get to the log on screen. Enter my email and password. Verify the picture question. Asked to confirm Terms and Conditions, and then get a logon failure. Phone: Samsung S7 edge (SM-G935F) Andriod version: 8.0 One App version: 1.6.2
  9. Ended up being a faulty GPS Receiver. Replaced under warranty and now working.
  10. Hi! I have recently taken delivery of a Octavia vRS as a new company car after upgrading from a Superb. Very impressed! Anyway, this digresses from my problem. I've have noticed recently that the sat nav seems to lose its location, although it does get it back. I'd like to say this is down to the surroundings (i.e. trees or tall buildings), but that isn't the case. I'm not sure if it's down to the outside temperature affecting the GPS receiver, or just the system starting up, but I was wondering if it possible to recalibrate the electronic compass? Alternatively, would updating to the latest maps resolve the issue? Versions: Hardware: H43 Software: 0360 Nav database: V03959800MC0086 ECE 2014/2015 Craig
  11. Arse! Going to busy with a pen and paper then :S
  12. Thanks for the suggestions. going to be busy over the next few nights then
  13. Is it possible to export the saved locations from a Columbus Sat Nav? I'm asking as I'm looking to replace the Superb with a Octavia vRS and would like to copy the Sat Nav locations without having to re-enter them from scratch.
  14. Hi! Currently, an owner of a 61-plate Superb Elegance II Greenline as a company car. This was a replacement for the Audi A3 Sportback I had previously. Never had a Skoda before, and to say I'm happy with it would be an understatement. This car is great, the specification amazing, and the drive more so. However, all good things must come to an end at some point, and November is when the lease on the Superb ends. So, I'm thinking of getting a Octavia vRS as its replacement with the following specification: Octavia Hatch vRS vRS upholstery with red seams 2.0 TDI 184 PS 6G Man Candy White Rear side airbags Heated windscreen Sunset glass from B pillar back Simply Clever for Bluetooth+ (media holder, waste bin and double sided floor boot floor covering) vRS leather (contains some artificial leather) Black design package Columbus sat nav with European maps and colour Maxi dot Bluetooth+ (wireless aerial connection) Heated front seats Canton sound system (10 speakers, digital equaliser, subwoofer) Heated washer nozzles, front Crew Protection Assistant Cruise control system (CCS) electronic I've been quoted a monthly rental of £484.82 for 3 years @ 25K miles per annum (inc. maintenance and tyres). Is there anyone out there willing to beat this quote? If so, please contact me for more information. Thanks in advance, Craig
