  1. I've got the same problem and i want to substitute the buzzer. Do you know where can i find a replacement buzzer?
  2. Hi, I've got the same problem in my 2005 Skoda Octavia II. Also this affects the warning sound for the missing seat belt, etc... What i read was that this could be a problem with the column inside the quadrant and replacing the column could solve the problem. The problem is that i can't find anything or any shop that sells the column. any help? Cheers.
  3. Hi guys, news... Changed the fuse, the drain continues. So it's not the fuse. Unplug all the plugs in the back of the radio, one by one and only i unplug the power the drain is over. So the conclusion it's the radio that does this consumption. Any more ideas?
  4. Hi, yes i've understood what was your recommendation to debug the thing. The new radio option is only if nothing else works and also to start to look what will be the prices and types of radio that you guys recommend.
  5. Just to have a, at least, other option to solve this issue (one that i would like to avoid, but...), do you guys know any good place to buy a radio for my Skoda Octavia MK2 (probably now with Android) to substitute the one that have got that is causing all this problems (potentially)? (and that ships to Portugal)
  6. Ah ok. Now i get what you mean. Yeah i can have a go on that.
  7. I just get the fuse and replace it. More news to come...
  8. No, this battery drain happens when the ignition is OFF. No key in the car.
  9. Yes. i've posted pictures with and without the fuse.
  10. Hi, i've only got the time now to have this done. So, about the radio tick when i untick the thing it gives me an error on the gateway. 11. Hi, Just did the tick on telephone and radio and like you said the CAN Gateway error disappeared. Regarding the wiper switch (i don't know what this is) i need to investigate further because i've not tested the wipers. neither front neither in the back. Any lights would be appreciated. Cheers.
  12. Hi, i've remove the tick from the Installation List because it was giving me errors and also the error from the gateway was there. 13. Sooooooo... updates from this quest!!! I've installed the new CAN BUS Gateway (...530H) and when i've tried to measure the battery drain my multimeter melt... Now i need to buy a new multimeter!!! But about the gateway i've got a few questions and news. This is the result of the new scan: Chassis Type: 1Z (7N0) Scan: 01 03 08 09 15 16 17 19 25 42 44 46 52 56 62 72 76 77 VIN: TMBGE61Z952080524 Mileage: 191270km/118849miles 01-Engine -- Status: OK 0000 03-ABS Brakes -- Status: OK 0000 04-Steering Angle -- Status: OK 0000 08-Auto HVAC -- Status: OK 0000 09-Cent. 14. Yes, the battery in only 8 months old. I've already received the CAN Bus gateway today and i will try to do the installation this weekend and then proceed with the measurements again and then charge the battery and also run the battery tests, again. Hopefully i get all things right or else i don't have car anymore, at least for a long period
  15. Hi, yes i've tested the battery today. Values not good!!! battery in rest: 11,83V Engine started: 13,85V Engine at 3000 rpm: 13, 93V Battery has 8 months. Cheers.
  16. Hi, I was pointing to ...530S, but H probably is better you are right. But where do i found this part, i was searching and i can't find it. Only found for VW and other versions of Skoda (ex: 1.6). Can i use this part that was on other car than mine? What are your opinions? On the replacement of the CAN Bus Gateway can you guys show me where can i get the CAN bus that solves the problem? Cheers.
  18. Another thing that is going on is i've lost the turn lights sound and alert sounds from my central console and now the back sensors sound is also doing some weird sounds. It seems that the electrical part (columns) are going bad!!!
  19. Hi J.R. thanks for you help. The radio is installed in the car 10 years ago, i probably always had this problem but with age the problem seems to got bigger, i don't know!!! That's a bit out of my knowledge doing that kind of things but i'm eager to try. Can you point me to the CAN Bus that is need to get? i found this video in youtube that is probably doing exactly what you said: If not can you point me to the correct direction? Like i said i'm a newbie on this. Cheers.
  20. A bit more info about the radio if someone can help a little bit more: - The radio is a 2 DIN that i've buy in https://tecnochin.com/. - Has GPS, Bluetooth, DVD, USB, TV (that not work in Portugal), SD Card - Win CE version (so very old school) Cheers.
  21. That will explain the behavior.
  22. Yeah i was hoping that this was normal but in back of my head i already no the truth!!! Any idea on how to debug the radio? Or how to solve the issue? I confess that with the radio i'm a bit lost. I already had a strange behavior from the radio because when i shut down everything in the car the Bluetooth continues to work and the phone continues to be paired with the radio but the radio is shut down. Does the bluetooth drains 0,47 amps??? cheers.
  23. The radio is not the original, but it has a lot of years. I would say at least 10 years. About the bonnet i didn't test it but when i removed the radio fuse the amps drop to 0,01 so its not the bonnet.
  24. Hi guys, Hopping that someone can help me understand what can i do with this battery drain problem. For the past 2 months i've got a problem in my Skoda Octavia that if i do drive it for a day when i get the next morning my battery don't start the car. I've tried to debug the problem to see if i've got a drain somewhere and i've got this number: This is the number that i get after everything is disconnected. This number is normal?? I've verified every fuse inside the car and no change. When i disconnect the fuse from the radio (inside the fuse box of the engine) the amps drop to 0.01. My question is the drain from the radio is normal? Cheers.
