  1. Something like this?? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Silverline-104616-Fluid-Extractor-Pump/dp/B003G2YV1I/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1499964539&sr=1-1&keywords=oil+remover
  2. Maybe they will stick with the mythical beast theme and go for Koq-womble!
  3. Just ordered two of these. One for the Yeti and one for the camper. Camper is running all terrain tyres and I wouldn't fancy changing one on the side of the road. Thanks for the tip, didn't revise these kits existed!
  4. Thanks Graham! I'll change it if my ocd gets the better of me. At the moment I'm pretending it's a stone chip!
  5. Sorry to raise a thread from the dead! But has anyone taken off and replaced part 3 in the above diagram - he silver lower trim. Managed to kiss the house wall today and although the damage is minimal I might replace it if its easy enough - a new part being about £90. Thanks Simon
  6. I was seduced by the gadgets in the QQ Tekna. Most of them you don't use and most of the driving aids seemed to have a mind of their own in bad weather. 19inch tyres on the Tekna models are expensive and offer little to no protection to the diamond cut alloys. The surround camera I do miss but that's about it. Quality was in my opinion below par. Very noisy on tickover and rattles on the dash and doors. A noisy steering column when cold which they didn't fix despite being a known issue was the last straw. If also gives you the driving impression of just being a car where in the Yeti you do have the feeling of space and better visibility. Try and test drive them back to back. They are very different beasts!

    Mud flaps

Fitted original flaps to mine soon after delivery. Like others not convinced that they do the best job in the world. But in my opinion they finish the car off nicely, especially at the rear. As others have said the middle screw on the rear didn't want to bite on mine. I replaced the middle screw with on of these. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductMobileDisplay?catalogId=10151&langId=-1&categoryId=310504&productId=563951&storeId=10001 Different head but not noticeable unless your looking in the wheel arch! Cheap and easy to clean from any Halfords. Just be careful you don't strip the threads. They only need to be hand tight.
  8. As much as that! I even used the word bicycle to try and elicit a more indignant response!
  9. Mmmm....I would normally agree. But did you when you over inflated your bicycle tyres?
  10. The symbol in your picture is just telling you that start/stop is not activated. Either because you have pressed the off button (which needs to be done each time you start the car) or there are too many things being used for it to activate. Basically just get in and drive and the start/stop will manage itself. If you want to deactivate it at anytime, it can get annoying in certain traffic situations especially with a dsg, then press the off button. When you next switch the car on other will be back in auto mode.
  11. This is where the button is on mine to switch it off. Bottom left.
  12. That means start stop is not working. Mine does it if not warmed up or too much drawing power. It's for information... Not an error.
  13. Welcome! The way you have worked this sounds like you think you may have accidentally disabled start/stop?? As others have said there is normally a button but this need to be pressed every time you start the car. It's more likely to be not working because it requires ideal conditions to kick in. So if you have a lot of things drawing battery power... Lights, wipers, accessories, heater etc then it won't kick in.
  14. I'm sure it will be as high rated as the Ateca, as it looks to be shaping up to be essentially the same car with a different badge. And that's the problem I personally have. I want something different. But appreciate that a lot of people don't. Skoda will need to rely on their version of the VAG euro SUV standing on its own merits and unfortunately a lot of people still l rubbish the brand.
  15. True. But when I bought my Yeti I didn't need to look at Seat, VW or Audi as I didn't want the VAG group generic SUV styling. Had I wanted that my decision would have been harder as I would need to weigh up cost, quality, equipment and brand appeal. So unless the new Yeti can compete in all these areas your average punter will probably plump for one of the better perceived brands. Of course I stand to be proved wrong and may well be driving one in a couple of years time lol
