  1. 2015 TSI manual, 40k and never missed a beat. Manual gearbox though not sure about the DSG variants
  2. JBS in Chesterfield used to look after my MK 1 Octy VRS, and still look after the missus Fabia. Highly recommended
  3. Same fault on mine was vacuum hoses broken leading to the N75 boost control valve, worth checking none have split or come adrift before forking out for a new/exchange turbo.
  4. The Scout definitely has a raised ride height, 30mm if memory serves. Ours did wallow about a fair bit, but thats only our experience. It made my other half travelsick and is one of the reasons we didn't have another.
  5. Regarding the 1.9, yes pipes pointing at the floor = no dpf, most 1.9 PDs aren't apart from the superb greenline AFAIK. the 2.0 is an OK engine, but some had issues with oil pump drives wearing prematurely, and the injector looms in the top of the engine failing. You could look at a remap on the 1.9, 130BHP is easily achievable.
  6. Regarding the DPF, Skoda hung on until 2010 using the 1.9 TDI PD engine without a DPF. Mine's a 2009 and doesn't have one (check if the tailpipe points on the ground). Things to look out for are sticking vanes on the turbo (usually over 100k ish), and a decent service history. Other than that they're fairly bomb proof. Make sure its been serviced using decent oil to VW spec. I've also owned 2 Scouts, great car but heavier on fuel and they tended to roll about a bit more due to the higher ride height. Both were 2.0 PD engines and both were fine to over 100k with proper servicing. For your budget I'd stick to the 1.9 PD you won't find many decent Scouts at that money that haven't done moon mileage IMO
  7. Set of 4 Zenith 18" Alloys refurbed 2 months ago, fitted with virtually new rainsport 3s (235/18/40) all with at least 8mm tread 7.5J ET51 offset 5 x 112 fitment Colour is Audi Grey rather than standard silver, I think they look the part Pictured on my mk1 VRS, I have the spacers for this fitment if you need them I'll throw them in One or two miniscule chips on 2 of the wheels (you can barely see them, but I've included pics) £450, can deliver within a 30 mile radius of Newark, Notts, or collection is fine
  8. hi, have a look here: http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/tour/m-blocks.html Boost pressure is measurable from a separate "turbo" option apparently, although I've never tried it myself HTH
  9. Its worth checking the earth strap to the gearbox is in good condition and securely connected, and that your battery is up to the job as well, if in doubt I'd get it tested.
  10. I'm at Newark and can do it for you, there might be people closer. Going rate is just fuel and a brew, biscuits always help
