Quiet Forum :(
I do agree with your comments mac, especially this one. I remember when I first join, and going back further than that, the easy way to communicate was Forums, and this was before the likes of Whatsapp groups, FB chat, Snapchat etc.... all really started kicking in and becoming huge. There may not be a need for it on this forum now, but have area representatives (North West, North East etc...) who can create private Facebook groups and organise meets through that. But as you also mentioned, Covid put a dampener to a lot of meets!

2025 Kodiaq vRS currently, although I have been a member of this forum since 2012, and I have had 4 vRS's in that time

Robert Eardley Crewe
I hate to leave bad reviews, and this is a bit of a dated one, but I havent been around the forum for a while, so I will chip in now. This is my local garage, probably about 3 miles from my house. The first time I dealt with them was during Covid, and their customer service was awful ! Havent been back since, and I have warned others off since. I part ex'ed my old Skoda in for a new one over the Covid period. I fully understand Covid made things hard and more complicated. However, after giving them my Karoq as part of the deal, they failed to register it in their name (they said they would do it all as part of the service with the V5) and therefore, 4 months after they took the car off me, I got a letter telling me I had failed to pay my tax on the vehicle and I need to pay immediately or face a fine. I went into the garage and explained, and I was told that it had been done and there was nothing to worry about. One month later I received a letter telling me that Baliffs would come round to my address in the coming weeks if payment was not made, and the payment would be a lot higher due to costs. I went back to the garage to take this up with the Manager there, and he was very confrontational and would not accept that they hadn't done it. By some miracle after that confrontational chat, a week later I received a letter saying the ownership of the car had been changed. However, I still had to pay the fine. I paid the fine (£150) to try and get it all sorted and then claim back. I spoke to Skoda Crewe about this, and the DVLA and neither would help me out. Summary is - they had my V5, went into lockdown, didnt change the car details over, and they tried to cover it up and say they had done it, when they clearly hadnt. Could have improved since, and it was a testing time for the world, but my sympathy or ownership was shown over this. If they had apologised and paid the £150 for me (as I hadn't owned the car for 4 months), there would not have been an issue.

Quiet Forum :(
Morning all, I have recently returned to the forum, of which I have been a member for many years, and unfortunately found it to be a lot quieter than yester year. Such a shame! I am definitely not saying the forum is dead, and it still serves a purpose, but I remember when there used to be monthly car meets, lots of new topics in different sections on a daily basis. Some of the sections now havent had updates for months. Probably about 8 years ago, i helped organise a very successful meet at a car garage in the North West, and it went down really well. I might look at doing that again to spark a bit more interest in the area. Its very critical of me, as clearly I haven't been around for years as well, but I am hoping there are still plenty of people around to keep this community going. Happy to help if and when needed. So anyway, on a lighter note........ what's everybody's plans for the weekend 😉😆 Cheers Paul

Front assist and light assist errors
Had the same myself twice after having the car only a month. Same as above, misty and dew in the early mornings, but then soon clears after a few minutes.

Show us your Kodiaq Mk11
Took delivery of my new 2025 Kodiaq vRS around a month ago now. Love it! Its got quite a few optional extras on it, as it was originally ordered for one of the staff, but while he was on holiday I asked if I could buy it instead before he had it 😆

Mitchell Skoda - Chester
Its great to see all the amazing feedback about Mitchells. I love this dealership and the service they provide. I have been buying Skoda's from here for approximately 12-13 years, and I am now on my 12th Skoda. In years gone by I used to deal with Dave Alexander, but when he left back in 2018 I started to deal with Dawn Sutton, along with Richard Macklin. Both are brilliant and will look after you 😊 After picking up my new Kodiaq vRS in October, I was very well looked after. Bouquet of flowers, and a bottle of champagne after hearing I was recently married. I have never dealt with such an amazing garage that really does look after you, and this is why I have been going back for years. Yes the cars are great regardless, but the experience certainly helps!

Hello........ again!
Hi all, Long time member, but I have been absent for a number of years, despite still owning Skoda's during that time. My name is Paul, based in Cheshire, and I used to be a frequent visitor and poster on this forum way back. I have recently purchased a 2025 Kodiaq 2.0 vRS in Black, which I am loving at the moment! 😀 This is my 13th Skoda I think (hopefully not unlucky!) Anyway, I am back to contribute where I can, linger, and post every now and again. Thanks Paul
