  1. Did the Yeti cross your mind? I'm beginning to think about it after 2 yrs with the Estate. I pretty much under use the Estate though as I barely have a boot full these days. You possibly aren't lloking at new but the L&K Yeti in particular looks great value against the Superb.
  2. The yeti to me still looks like one of those vans that are used for transporting wheelchairs. I'm getting out of the Superb when my lease comes to an end as well, I can't justify the high bik costs and only getting 350 miles max for nearly £80 worth of petrol! The Mazda CX-5 is my favourite at the moment but I've got about a year to run.
  3. Mine are misted/wet too but haven't got round to doing anyhting about it yet. I have assumed that this isn't normal and does need sorted at some point.
  4. Not sure about it to be honest. I'm thinking of moving away from the Superb in any case on my next renewal about a year from now and this isn't going to make me reconsider, which a decent remodel may have done. To be honest the main driver on probably moving away is the running cost and tax hit. I only get about 350 miles out of the 4x4 estate for each refill. Considering going to a compact SUV like the Mazda CX5 which has a more efficient engine, although maybe not the rear room and the refinement of the Superb. If they are doing nothing about that just now then I can't see my going back in for another.
  5. Am I meant to be noticing anyhting different?
  6. Agree with the comments above. I can't stand the habit of having them on all the time. Dangerous i know but I've started stcking the beams on if anyone approaches me with their fogs on. Well, they started it!
  7. I'd consider it to replace my Elegance estate but what I would end up doing is just adding everything on to match the Elegance spec and the extras I have now on top of that - presuming that is possible on it. That probably takes out outwith being worth doing price wise. I'd need to work through it at the time which wouldn't be for another year plus. I do a 3 year work lease so I'm not concered about resale personally and it's more about the total and therefore monthly cost to me. I'd be interested too to hear if anyone has gone for this or is planning to.
  8. Well, this thread is about little things that annoy you - not really much wrong with discussing that is there? Why should the discussion be closed? The seat refernce is compared to other cars in the same conditions, it's a bit slow.
  9. I forgot about this until this week's colder weather - the heated seats take forever to heat up. Once they are hot they are very hot but they do take longer to heat than I'd expect.
  10. Bill Mine would have been the newer model 08 version laguna so not sure what the older version was like in comparison. Overall, a bit like the Skoda Estate it was a good size, the boot floor was nice and wide and flat and it was a lot better on the fuel. Didn't have one bit of bother with it for the 3 years. What swung me to the Superb was the 4x4 option with the winters we had just had. Odds on it wouldn't happen during the 3 years I have the Superb but never mind. I just picked the bits where I think the Laguna was a bit better but overall I do much prefer my Superb, partucularly with the added toys like the park assist, heated windscreen and washers - not to mention the massice amount of legroom for my daugher in the back. The Superb has a nicer look that the Laguna as well.
  11. The central cup holders are poor and badly positioned for having to change gears. I miss the ones that used to come out from the dash on my laguna. I also find the driver seat to be very difficult to get a good position in. The dimming rear view is also poor compared to my last car - it doesn't react quckly to lights from behind that change position so you get distracted by the changes. The sunglass holder is a bit noisy. Don't like having to press the door handle to lock with KESSY - previous car you just walked away and it locked. I also miss a button in the boot that will flatten all the back seats with one touch. The touch buttons on the Columbus I find to be pretty poor and the until itself is a bit fiddly control wise. Voice control is a bit too complex at times to be of any use. All just niggles though - good car overall.
  12. I'll echo the comments above - great engine but very heavy on the fuel, I think I average in the mid to late 20s. I also got the 4x4 following the last couple of winters here though didn't get much chance to see how it performed with little snow last year. It does just feel a bit more smooth on things like road bumps and some of the cobbled steets in Edinburgh amd also a bit more sure in the rain. Flooding is one thing we had a lot of on the back roads I take into work and it has sailed through some pretty deep stretches. The problem with a little heavier 'off road' type surfaces with it is that it's still a pretty low car and you can be tempted to do a bit more with having the 4x4 when really you'd need a bit more clearance and a bit more prtoection around the place to make proper use of it. I'm quite tempted to go for the Outdoor or whatever it's called next time, althugh i'm used to the luxury and extra toys with my Elegance trim and a few extras on top and I think the Outdoor is based on a lower trim.
  13. Capuccino for me on the Estate. Understated but modern and clean. The Rosso always makes me think of an old guy behind the wheel with leather driving gloves.
  14. I notice its just on the SE trim. I'd be tempted for the more rugged version on my next renewal if I could get the same level of trim as I do now in my Elegance. I assume with the SE you can add what you like on top anyway or is it limited?
  15. I just found it wierd it's done it once in the year I've owned the car and I've seen loads of traffic issues highlighted on the map or on the TMC message list but never had the thing talk to me about it! I've also never seen the letters TMC appear on the MFD until I was streaming the audio and thought the two might have been wierdly linked!
