  1. 3B4839015AM Will find out tomorrow morning if its the right one.
  2. Having checked with skodaparts.com they are stating the part number as 6Y0839015A. Same as Wino said above. Putting this into eBay though it states the locks are for mk2 fabias. Looks as though I've ordered the wrong one now anyway. Guess I'll find out when I dismantle the door.
  3. Thanks for all the advice, really usefull. I'll give the dealer a ring tomorrow. On the ebay add you just bought from, it says the following: Manufacturer part no: 3B4839015AM Reference OE/OEM Number: 3B4839015AG, 6QD839015B, 6Y0839015A Does that mean its suitable for all 4?! Thanks again
  4. I need to replace my nearside rear lock this week so this is all going to come in handy. I'm still trying to source a replacement lock though. Looking through the forum and elsewhere online I've found the part number: 3B2837015AM. Although, that does appear to be a front nearside lock. Does anyone know if the front and rear locks would be the same? However, this ebay listing has the part number: 3B4 839 015AM http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SKODA-FABIA-REAR-LEFT-CENTRAL-DOOR-LOCK-1999-2007-BRAND-NEW-/151362697135?hash=item233deb77af:g:qqQAAOSwKIpWDlRc Its listed as being brand new....which for that price I'm a bit unsure about. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Jenko
  5. how much for the rear passenger side door actuator/locking mechanism?
  6. Hi Guys How long should I expect my headlight dip bulbs to last? I seem to be replacing them every 6 months! At when one went I just replaced it with a cheap one, then the other would go shortly after and would replace that. 6 months later same again. Last time both seemed to go at a similar time so I forked out and bought a set of Nightbreakers. Now, 6 months and 2 days later one of them has gone. Is this normal?
  7. I've just been contemplating the same thing. Came across this site: http://www.geton.co.uk/ have signed up to get on one of their trial days. Only experience I have so far is trying a Honda 125 at Goodwood FoS this weekend. How do you experienced riders find running costs compared to a car if I'm considering a bike for commuting?
  8. This appears to be the best guide thread I've found: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/193291-remove-and-repair-deadlocked-rear-door/ Guess I need to get hold of a new door lock motor before I attempt it. Any ideas how I make sure its the right one? Part number?
  9. Hi guys Rear passenger side door is stuck locked on my mk1 fabia vrs. It won't unlock on central locking or by pulling the handle inside. I did notice it had made a bit of a noise when locking/unlocking recently. In hind sight I probably should have looked into it before. Now there's no noise of it trying to unlock at all. I've had a search but I can't seem to find a definative answer on the forum. I assume I'm going to need to get the door card off somehow. Is this even possible with the door locked? Any advice or suggestions very welcome. Thank you.
  10. Thanks Steve, where abouts in south Wales are you? Could I collect?
  11. Hi guys Fabia's in for the MOT today and apparently I have a cut/tear in the O/S rear seatbelt. Few questions if anyone could please help: Is this easy to change myself? Are these the same for all ages of mk1 fabia? ie. Could I take one from a 53 plate comfort? Can anyone recommend somewhere to get one? Does anyone have one available themselves? Any help or advice much appreciated. Thank you
  12. Thinking about trying this place: www.whitepostgarage.co.uk/gearbox.html
  13. Can you guys recommend anywhere in the south west/west Midlands?
  14. So my gearbox has been making a bit a of a noise for a while. Slightly in 1st and 2nd, mainly in 3rd. Sort of grinding, but not constant, more sort of fluttery and quite faint. Car is a Mk1 Fabia VRS with 120,000 miles on the clock. New Clutch and flywheel around 95K. In the last week it's got considerably worse. end of last week I started getting a whine in 1st and 2nd. Now that has extended to pretty much all gears to some extent, plus some extra noises in 5th. Now, I didn't post something up about the original noises a while ago, but can't seem to find the thread. My options.... I've found a box on ebay for £250 from West Midlands Salvage in B'ham. only 54K Miles on it. 28 day warranty. Probably going to cost me £250 ish to get the box fitted. Or I take it to Gloucester Road Gearboxes in Bristol. Who have been recommended to me by a few people (any other opinions?). Pricing there is £1025+VAT for a box rebuild PLUS 200+VAT to refit the box. They will take the box out, diagnose the problem and see if there is option for repair. What are peoples thoughts on going for a 2nd hand box? Am I going to just have to bite the bullet and pay the £1500 quid for the rebuild?
  15. Is this still for sale? What's the mileage on it and reason for sale?
