  1. Got some rear builds replaced at a service yesterday. Now the reversing beep happens when I indicate left and brake. Skoda tell me the systems are not connected at the light cluster so not worth me poking about in there. Sent from my GT-I8160 using Tapatalk
  2. Now my roof strips are coming out. Autoglass replaced them after I complained but didn't fit then quite right. They hook under the screen at the front and one of them doesn't quite reach so needed sliding forward a bit. Still not quite right. I conclude they are not intended to be replaced. They hold themselves in and bend easily on install so then pop out. Sent from my GT-I8160 using Tapatalk
  3. The swing in my r3 is way too thumpy with not much mids. Havnt found a good sound yet. Sent from my GT-I8160 using Tapatalk
  4. I would be wary of loading the glass unnecessarily. Mine cracked a while back. Don't know why but suggest you don't give yours an excuse! Sent from my GT-I8160 using Tapatalk
  5. Wife has got rubber ones in hers. Look quite nice and very practical. Will try and remember to take a pic and post it later.
  6. They are just square channels. The strips wedge themselves in using a longitudinal fan of rubber splines. I think I sorted it by bending the back part of the strip to follow the roof line. Now it seems to be staying in.
  7. Hi. Having problems with the strips that fill the roof drain channels. They have been removed at least once, to replace the glass roof and maybe to add roof rails, and now one of them refuses to stay in the channel back at the tailgate. Following the roof replace I had to remove one myself to reseat it and noticed a big glob of sealer at one end that presumably the Autoglass fitter applied to try and make it stay down. Looking at their construction I assume they are not designed to be removed. I am probably going to complain to Autoglass. Should they have replaced them?
  8. Nothing wrong as far as I can tell mate. My 2008 1.6 3 is one of the best cars I have owned. Nippy, comfortable, fun to drive cavernous and economical. A proper allrounder. You have made a good choice. Enjoy!
  9. They installed the new one yesterday. Took about 2.5 hours. Apart from no crack and it being being nice and clean you wouldn't know anything had changed. Very pleased.
  10. Its the same size and rating as the others but only on for a few days so will not be pushing it. Just a bit gutted as I appear to have ruined a virtually new Dunlop Sport Max. 100 quid down the drain. Chuffed I was able to replace it in the dark tho. Getting a bit old and creaky now and the last car I tried it on the jack wouldn't even get wheel off the ground.
  11. Kerbed a tyre last night and split the sidewall. Grrr. Managed to get the spare on in the dark and noticed it has a speed warning on it despite it being a full size tyre. What's that about?
  12. Photo of the crack. http://db.tt/ZLovQHsf
  13. Auto glass assure me the crack can go the complete length of the roof and still be safe. Will post pictures later.
  14. Well. It got cancelled. Skoda still have the roof on back order. So now waiting for a new date for the repair .
