  1. Due to a change in circumstances I'm keeping the Octy for the time being.
  2. Any idea how many miles it's done and where abouts are you located? Would you consider splitting the rear shocks out? Thanks, Nathan.
  3. Had a 3in screw removed from my OSF PS3, then gave it a fairly good clean. Oh and Watched some vRS number plates on eBay.
  4. What are the little side vents?! Love them. And are those RS4 reps in the action shot?
  5. You know what, I think you've hit the nail on the head there. I watched one of them recently and it did indeed make me want to remap the vRS!
  6. I think there is just a couple of generations that watched and enjoyed (most) of the F&F films and think it's a tragic loss. That and the fact that Paul Walker was a massive car fan himself and not just an actor portrayed as one. His personal garage collection contained such gems as an E30 M3, M1 and an Escort Cosworth. Still, personally if I had a £4 ticket to run at Santa Pod, I'd be hanging on to it for the experience and not selling for hundreds. Each to their own though. Nathan
  7. How much were the original tickets? Hoards of w*nkers selling them for hundreds on Gumtree. Unless of course they were hundreds to begin with, then my apologies!
  8. Not sure if this is relevant but mine had a very slight hesitation under light throttle and only once or twice, not like a constant mis-fire. It also used to accelerate slightly by itself on a balanced light throttle sometimes! I did the plugs, filter, AFM and coils (FOC!), vag-com showed nothing and it finally turned out to be either a dodgy gasket on the throttle body or just muck in there.Stripped it down, cleaned with carb cleaner assembled with a new gasket and all symptoms disappeared! Might be worth a shot for a £4 gasket? I think you need to be careful with the throttle position sensor though? There is a guide on here somewhere I think. Nathan.
  9. Hey buddy, I'm just up Leeds/Bradford way, so not far at all really. Fancy meeting up at some point, or are there any Yorkshire meets coming up? Been looking back through the forum but they seem a bit sparse since Bluevrs2 headed off to the land of the insane road tax bracket!
  10. Hey all, Thanks for all the opinions. I think for the time being I'm going to stick with the vRS and try to find an insurance company that will cover both cars with the one NCB and cover the stage 1-ish mods. Realistically I think a decent set of coilovers is going to be too much money and maybe too harsh for daily driving so I'm thinking Koni FSD's and H&R springs? That, remap, some sort of RARB and some fast road pads and see what it feels like then. And if it's still not exciting enough, hell the 5.0 V8 Mustang is released over here in 2015....
  11. I didn't measure the ones that came off against the ones that went on :( The old ones had the right spots on them though and the car does seem the same ride height as before. But it makes sense why it's so appallingly soft if the rate it wrong.
  12. Cheers guys, I'll give them a call in the new year. I noticed Greenlight seem to do it also. There maybe hope for me keeping the vRS yet!
