  1. I've owned numerous cars with rear drums and had zero issues with them sticking - hence my immense dissatisfaction regarding the VAG vehicle I purchased new
  2. I can confirm they release much easier going backwards
  3. Managed not to set the kitchen on fire!! SL_MO_VID_20211126_185940.mp4
  4. The warden told me it made an emergency landing the day before. Hatches were open around the rear rotor - maybe transmission issues?
  5. A few more with my camera.
  6. I've noticed they do seem to unstick easier if you try to go backwards first
  7. We paid our annual visit to Donna Nook this afternoon. Lots of seals on the beach and also a broken down chinook!
  8. The sticking brakes are much worse when the car has been driven in the wet. Lots on here about it (and also VW Up! Forums)
  9. The brakes stick regardless of parking on the flat, or on the drive. It was investigated extensively by a main dealer and their summary was it's a characteristic of the car! They recommended changing the entire rear braking system (at my cost) when the car was just 18 months old. The best genuine mpg I've seen is 76.6 - Fuelly link below Fuelly
  10. I was fascinated to find the Aygo is entirely devoid of any driving pleasure, despite it's sharing a similar footprint to the Mii / Citigo / Up!
  11. Had fun with the garden incinerator this evening🔥
  12. They are truly exceptional cars We have a 2019 SEAT Mii (59 BHP), which beyond occasionally sticking rear brakes has been excellent. Has averaged 53 MPG over the last 26k miles and not out of its depth on the motorway. I did consider a new Aygo recently, but the test drive put me off and I opted to stick with the SEAT!
  13. I'm planning switching to these for my 4WD Suzuki S Cross when the existing Conti's have worn out. From memory I paid around £500 for 4 fitted / balanced on my last Yeti (Costco).
  14. Another thumbs up for the Michelin's from me I had the originals on a 4WD Yeti (TDi) and then the Cross Climate+ on both my current SEAT Mii and previous Yeti 4WD. Excellent in all conditions and, as mentioned above, the new + version is a further improvement. Not the cheapest, but extremely long lasting too.
  15. Sun rising in one direction and the Moon still very much in evidence in the other this morning..........
  16. Many thanks
  17. Any thoughts what the bird of prey might be?
  18. Came across a bit of a commotion in a neighbour's garden earlier. The crows and magpies in the surrounding trees were making a tremendous racket!! Certainly sad for the pigeon, but remarkable to see the the bird of prey in action close-up. Just a shame I didn't have my camera with me.
  19. Colourful waning gibbous this evening.........
  20. Colourful sunset this evening.........
  21. Altocumulus Undulatus I'm told https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Altocumulus_undulatus_cloud
  22. Interesting clouds this morning
  23. And one more. Bit of a challenge to get in a position where I could take this shot!
  24. Lovely autumnal colours today..........
  25. Guess my ceramic coating is still there
