Badly Corroded Yeti rear brake discs - is this normal ?
I never had this issue with any of the Octavia's I owned, but always found the Yeti suffered. I did wonder if it related to the braking setup on the respective cars?

Clutch replacement recommendations
I've used Autohaus Dolby on a number of occasions and can happily recommend them.

I guess that'll be a consequence of covering just 2k miles in 12 months, rather than the quality of the discs. I noticed the rear discs on all 4 of my previous Yeti's became heavily corroded, unless I purposely stood on the brakes.

Transfer Box failed - Warranty Company refusing to pay
I asked a trusted local specialist who has looked after all my VAG cars and he wasn't keen to get involved in replacing seals and advised my friend with the Superb to take it to a transmission specialist. He suggested the smartest move might be a refurbished transfer case.

I'm afraid I have to agree. At 10 years old most failures would be considered fair wear and tear. Interestingly a friend has just received a (main dealer) quote for £3k to replace the same unit on a 2014 Superb 4x4, due to a leak - WBAC time............. I recently sold my Yeti, due a sunroof leak, which was uneconomical to repair. I replaced it with a 19 year old Jaguar XJ8 and the trader was kind enough to advise against any warranty, as in his words it 'wouldn't be worth the paper it's written on' given the age of the car. I recall asking Skoda for a quote to extend my warranty at 3 years old on a 4x4 Diesel Yeti and was amazed at the cost. £780 / year, which speaks volumes regarding the likelihood of costly failures. Sorry to hear of your predicament.
