  1. Nice first car. I loved my Felicia - I miss it to this day. No abs and wet tyres in the wet and the snow can be fun, but be aware you have to stop the car If you're after lows I'd just stick with springs as no off the shelf coilies are easily found for these, or you could get some made pretty cheaply. www.coilsprings.co.uk This company quoted me £200 to drop my Iggy by 50mm - I'd not go much lower than that on unmodified shocks, but they can probably be done pretty easily (Depending on the type of shock).
  2. Funny you should say that! I actually looked into these today and was surprised they get good MPG, and I'm able to insure one (for under 2K :P ), so I'm seriously considering one! Are these engines just as tunable as the PD130's?
  3. Check the drain holes under the bonnet and under the window aren't blocked either - if so it can find it's way in!
  4. Thanks! What's wrong with the PD140? I'm curious now.
  5. Because I actually like Skoda Superbs, I don't have a problem with it. I'd just like to see what can be done, and some inspiration.
  6. I'm looking to get another Skoda, but this time a Superb PD130. What can be done to these engines? I've heard about stuff like EGR/DPF deletes, air filters and remaps - but could this get me up to around 180 bhp? Also what coilovers can be bought? and what wheels/wheel sizes suit these? Are they more luxurious than Passats, or the same? Cheers, Ryan
  7. You're best off getting one from a breaking car, simple, cheap and what you need. You may even be able to get one off a vw steelie as they have the same center bore
  8. I'm sure I may have staggered past one of your cars one early morning :p Sorry to hear about the Felly, does it have leccy windows?
  9. Felicia's are VAG so they share a lot of parts with Volkswagen - for a lot of basic parts you could visit GSF www.gsfcarparts.com
  10. You can always search "Skoda Felicia Breaking" in ebay if you can't find the part
  11. Took me a couple of seconds to get that. It's in fairly nice condition, came with all the ol' ladies stuff in the boot. May be a shame to lower it etc.
  12. Yes! A 340! Second Owner Pretty straight? Lil nick in the paintwork though :( Needs a good polish me thinks
  13. Swedish, gearbox is on the rear axle. This gives it away
  14. Okay first off. It's not a Skoda - Worry not I see something with a PD130 in the pipeline for later on Secondly, it's not exactly new, it's getting on for 30 years old. Rear wheel drive, big boot, leaf springs. Any guesses?
  15. Low, clean and nice wheels. What I like to see!
  16. Ahh the Slowda (going by the badge). I was looking at loads of cars, Volvo 340's, old rovers, Skodas. I wanted something original for my age group, pre-2000 (most new cars are boring tbh), cheap and easy to maintain. The Skoda fitted the bill perfectly. Bidded on it on ebay for £400 and won! Yeah it has a scratch and or dent on every panel but it works, it's functional, original, hard wearing and surprisingly quick. I love it, I would have another but I got a few other cars to tick off the list, only if their was a PD130 Felicia.
  17. Could of gave the starter a whack with a bit of wood n'all. As for being a bit battered, I crashed mine into a ditch the other day. The front of the car actually cleared the ditch. Had to get a tug off a local out of the ditch - funny thing was I knocked on the fellas door and he offered me a tow before I could even ask, as if it happens every day! A couple of days ago I drove to Northampton to pick up a few new parts, as the fog light and indicator lense are somewhere in Dorridge. 130 there and back on quarter of a tank at about 65 to 90 mph for overtaking truckers (in the middle lane, ****ing everyone else off :wonder:), the Felly didn't miss a single beat. Looks almost as good as new now, just a minor scratch on the new bumper. Also broke the old bumper a little getting it off, it was either tear two small holes in the bumper or angle grind the bolts, which I intended on keeping. Anyone want said old bumper, little damaged, cracked towards the bottom, lagoon blue - free.
  18. Make sure you buy the unit and the housing, as the clips can break and the new thermostat may not fit the old housing!
  19. This thread is making me regret the idea of getting rid of my felly in a few months time :( http://img801.imageshack.us/edit_preview.php?l=img801/7204/dsc00022kvk.jpg&action=rotate
  20. I just don't like the design! :p Does look nice, for a punto
  21. I was a little bit p***ed off when I wrote that. I know too many Punto drivers - I just don't like them, I find them so bland.
  22. It's in the eye of the beholder. For me it's something a little different, pretty rare and before 1994ish.
