  1. Well, I am finally passed the run in period of my 1.8 tsi, and starting to push things a lttle more .just wondering , with esp on, is there much warning to the back end going if I push to far. Have never driven a front wheel drive, or a car with esp before. Must admit, I am really enjoying it so far!

  2. Not sure if its already been covered, but looking to change the DRL bulbs in my 1.8 tsi to a whiter light if that makes sense. Not wanting to go down the LED path with its associated canbus/warning light issues. I am in new zealand so any of the NZ owners know of any bulbs I can purchase locally? Also, how tricky a job is it.

  3. Figured I'd post up the Greencarcongress article on the new MBQ platform here.

Weight loss, new engines and I'm guessing redesigned gearboxes to handle the higher torque of these new engines.

I'm still hoping to see some estate/wagon/combi spy photos and hopefully a Scout too.

Interesting article. Thanks for the link. Am I right in understanding that the only way to get a higher performing engine will be by going the oil burner route?

  4. what should, or could I do

I have just bought a new 118 tsi combi, not sure of the spec level as related to the UK as we only get offered the one spec here. But a lot of the options boxes seem to be ticked as standard.

Black magic, sunset, dsg, paddles, factory sport suspension, 17 palas, front and rear parking, maxidot

Not looking to map it under warranty, or harden the ride any more, keeping in mind my wife and kids have to put up with the end result too! Am very curious to know what you would do, mod wise, if at all.
