  1. Superb is a big car and big spaces with flat surfaces create echo. So you need carpets, thick carpets. And curtains! And furry seat covers too!!! Do they still make those furry steering wheel covers that were so popular in the 80's? Got one of those too. Just to be on the safe side.
  2. Aint got dash cam but havent noticed any problems with my phone GPS.
  3. Actually, Skoda DCC has some level of automatic mode when using Normal. It does change setting according to sensors but not so agressively.
  4. If I remember correctly, then you needed to pull the front part to your direction and push down (to the direction of floor), the rear part. First you have to remove the plastic screw cover and unscrew one torx. It is located in the front middle of the panel.
  5. First try to remove the lower side panels of the center console as I posted in my previous post. That way you can get behind the phone box. Removing phone box is a big job.
  6. You gotta buy two of those to get a vRS Superb: http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/SUPERB-III/Superb-III-original-Skoda-FRONT-emblem-RS-from-the-limited-RS230-edition But otherwise I might even agree with @penguin17 on this one. There has been rumors of a vRS Superb for a loooooong time. Even with MK2 women in sauna talked about soon-soon coming Superb vRS but ... nothing hapened. Atleast with MK2 they managed to do a Scout like version of Superb. So 280 Superb with Sportsline trim is probably closest thing to vRS you can get.
  7. Gotta make a side picture then. How do I find the exact product code of my absorbers? That is not involved asking my dealer. You are right, engine makes a difference. But then again, I have quite a lot of sound deadening materials and that definately makes it lower as standard. So my car would bot probably be the best comparison for @Eleftherios.
  8. I live in Estonia and have DCC suspension (L&K not Sportsline though but that makes no difference). Our winters can also be very snowy but I have had no problems whatsoever with DCC. The ride is high enough even on bad snowy roads and even on coutryside gravel roads. Honestly, I would not consider Superb with DCC to be a very low car .... never even thought about it before ...
  9. Hyundai uses dynamic dampers (nothing to do with dampers and also nothing to do with dynamic suspension) and those make suspension soooo much quieter, smoother and comfortable to drive. You can ask @MartiniB about those and he could probably give you a full two day course about how dynamic dampers work When you did the test drive with Superb, did it feel any different than the one you recieved? If it did, then there is probably something not right with yours. If it felt exactly the same, then you should start listening less what your wife says If your undercarriage is ok and tyre pressure also, then all you can do is spend few extra pounds on improving your car. First thing you can do is swaping the dampers to better ones. For example I have heared very good things about Koni FSD's on MK2 Superbs. Dunno how they would be on MK3 but you get the point. Also, if you want the suspension to be better on corners, then maybe changing the anti-roll bar to something better would be in order. I myself didn't like standard suspension on Superb and therefore went to DCC and I blody LOVE it. Yes, it took some time to get used to but thats the same with every new car. Yes, Superb has some cheaper components but I have seen that Passat and Superb actually share same absorbers. It was 100% so on MK2 but MK3 has several different absorbers product codes so there might be differences with Passat. I have seen atleast one MK3 shock absorber that is identical to Passat so Superb's shock absorbers can't be that bad. 5 series BMW sure has better ride and overall quality but similar specs BMW also costs almost 2x more. So if you spend few hundred pounds extra on your Superbs undercarriage, then you still aint gona reach the 5-series BMW price. And as your wife won't see under the car, you have no problems on that field too
  10. What? There is no such thing where I live and it would be illegal (atleast here). All new cars I have bought have had under 10 km on the dash. For example my last MK3 Superb had 6km and it was driven in the factory not by local dealer. All the dealer did was drive around on its compound between different garage doors. Where I live every manipulation with odometer is illegal even if it would be done by official distributor and I would personally make a huge fuss about it if I found that my new car has actually driven over 500km.
  11. There are some brands that are crazy noisy under Superb. The worst in that category is Pirelly P7. Skoda states itself that it uses premium tyre brands on it's cars but is not, so to say, brand loyal. You can get your Superb wearing with Pirelli, Continental, Bridgestone, Hankook and probably couple of more, tyres. But Skoda factory does not use unkown tyre brands so if you don't even remember the brand, then dealer has probably swaped the tyres. Check what they are and post here so better advice could be given. You wrote that the car is 1 year old and driven only 80km? Are you sure that you did't make a typo here? No 1 year old demo car should have 80km milage. It's like one test drive. What makes me confused is that you claim to have Ambition trim line but 16" wheels. May I ask what country are you from? Around here it is not possible to order Ambition on 16" wheels even if you are willing to pay extra. Ambition comes on 17" wheels as a standard and 16" can only bought with Active trim line. But then again, different countries have different specs. Two things concerne me. Ambition having 16" wheels and the fact that very low milage ex-demo car has full set of unknown brand tyres. Were the car bought from official Skoda dealer?
  12. Dunno about if anything needs to be done after battery removal but it is strongly recommended to disconnect battery before you go near any plugs that are even remotely connected to airbags.
  13. The formula for eternal youth has been found!!!
  14. It is fairly easy to remove when pulled upwards. You just need a plastic trim removal tool. If you want, I can explain it further via PM in estonian.
