  1. I have been a member fow a few years This is sad news that soething like this can happen Best wishes to Mike and a shame we no longer have that font of knowledge
  2. I have just purchased 2 x12v leds to do this . Having trouble getting the mirror off
  3. still going strong on the fronts . Never bothered or had the time to do the rear .
  4. If you can open the plug before you cut it off themiddle 1 out of the 2 is the power . even if you hit it with a hammer to get inside before you cut it off . When you have the power 1 I always put a bit of tape on the power wire saves getting my multi metre out .
  5. I have led upgrades in my map lights , will be taking them out if they cause problems.
  6. Thanks for an easy guide to follow , I used a single fag lighter type socket I had lying around and put it in that little driver box . I was thinking when fitting that it would fit in with the fuse box , might change it and put it in there , dont use the driver box for anything other than old parking tickets and maybe some un used poo bags for the dog . Much like the idea of the usb plug in the dash switch .
  7. Thanks for the reply . I will have a look in the day light and get back to you Thanks again for your time :-)
  8. Hello I have done the fronts and they were very easy , I tried to do the backs. My car is an Octavia MK2 VRS estate 08 plate, the wires you said use are a different colour to the diagram and I was wondering if anybody has the wiring diagram for the rear door or can anybody tell me which wires I have to use . While I was on I did the little green LED in the door handle job and that looks good so not a complete waste of time :-) Looking forward to any help or advice Dave
  9. I purchased an OCTAVIA A5 LEFT BUMPER GRILLE COVER 2004-2013 for my 58plate VRS estate . 1Z0853665A9B9 £3.92 genuine bag with VAG stamped on it That was cheaper than second hand .http://www.skodaparts.com
  10. wonder if thats what these are for then , the rear mats http://www.skodaparts.com/product/octavia-floor-mats-clips-2008-2013-50785
  11. these are whats in the front of my VRS http://www.skodaparts.com/product/octavia-floor-mats-clips-2008-2013-50785
  12. I had my mats out my old 57 plate Octavia 4x4 . The fixings in the back screw into the carpet but the fronts already have the round fixing in the carpet but the hole in the mats are oval . Goldfinger do your front mats have a fastner as you will have the round hole in the mat ,does it just click on the carpet thingy
  13. I was thinking of using these , other people on this forum have used them and they are £200 they are on face book Performance Remap Don't forget, we can now remap 99% of all 2009 and newer VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda cars by the diagnostic port without the need to remove the ECU and flash directly on it. This includes all 2.0tdi's 3.0tdi's, 1.2 & 1.4Tsi's, running the previously protected EDC17 Tricore and MED17.5 ECU's. This massively reduces the cost from £299 to just £200 all in and we can do them mobile. We are among a small handful of tuning companies that can now do this. Message or call to book now. 07897 106442
