I have just purchased 2 x12v leds to do this . Having trouble getting the mirror off

still going strong on the fronts . Never bothered or had the time to do the rear .

If you can open the plug before you cut it off themiddle 1 out of the 2 is the power . even if you hit it with a hammer to get inside before you cut it off . When you have the power 1 I always put a bit of tape on the power wire saves getting my multi metre out .

I have led upgrades in my map lights , will be taking them out if they cause problems.

Thanks for an easy guide to follow , I used a single fag lighter type socket I had lying around and put it in that little driver box . I was thinking when fitting that it would fit in with the fuse box , might change it and put it in there , dont use the driver box for anything other than old parking tickets and maybe some un used poo bags for the dog . Much like the idea of the usb plug in the dash switch .

Hello I have done the fronts and they were very easy , I tried to do the backs. My car is an Octavia MK2 VRS estate 08 plate, the wires you said use are a different colour to the diagram and I was wondering if anybody has the wiring diagram for the rear door or can anybody tell me which wires I have to use . While I was on I did the little green LED in the door handle job and that looks good so not a complete waste of time :-) Looking forward to any help or advice Dave

I had my mats out my old 57 plate Octavia 4x4 . The fixings in the back screw into the carpet but the fronts already have the round fixing in the carpet but the hole in the mats are oval . Goldfinger do your front mats have a fastner as you will have the round hole in the mat ,does it just click on the carpet thingy

I had a badger run up to my car the other morning and steal the lower N/S grill by the fog light . I searched ebay and he cheapest I could find was second hand £13.99 +£5 p/p, the place is in Wolverhampton , as I work in west Brom (6 ish mile) I thought I would save postage and fetch ther parts , Anyway got there , arsey bloke saying you should have told me you where coming that part sold yesterday even without looking or asking what part I was after, I had emailed and told him I would collect Monday any problems please let me know phone number given. Any way I looked on skodaparts.com and was amazed how cheap a genuine 1 is .About £3.50 + p/p Moto of the story is ebay aint the cheapest place to shop

I had my belt done on my VRS 2.0 Diesel at a local garage , changed the water pump , cam belt , Thermostat, 4 wheel tracking, 1 puntucre repair £230 :-)

I didnt grease my seal before putting it back together . just give the top a tap down to make sure its square (flush) on the housing .

I used GSF and got front disks/pads for about £60 . Its worth asking if they will beat E C P . we have both on the same road so you can always play the 1 of with the other ,
