  1. This gonna sound really daft but the price for the wheel centres is that each or the set ?
  2. Ordered my kit the weekend £30 6k with 1yr warranty
  3. Can but try I suppose ! Will give the local dealer a call on Tuesday hopefully in a understanding mood
  4. Great ! Mines out of warranty by a month and it's started to make this noise this week
  5. Ive got a yellow monte had it for about a year up in stoke but only became my daily driver last month now down in Lichfield
  6. Well I wasn't in any rush to sell the vrs but within a week of putting her up and loads of numptys ringin up time wasting the first person to come look has took her :( Gonna miss that car ! So I'll be moving over to fabia forums now as just bought the missus a Monte Carlo in yellow !
  7. Right gonna have a go at it today before work just to make it more interesting with the door in question , the window won't go up it down off the drivers switch so problem might be with the drivers door electrics . However without the keys in the ignition I can operate the window off the door itself ?? So I'm thinking of the door electrics are "live" all the time is this why the lock won't disengage and the battery goes flat if left for a week or so ? And am I right in thinking the rear doors get there power from the front doors ? If so if I disconnect the nsf hopefully the lock will release so I can open it and save damaging the nsr door card ?
  8. Evenin all ! I've got gremlins in the n/s/r door I'm sure !! It's deadlocked and won't open so I thought prob door lock but the window will not work off the drivers control switch but will off the door itself ? Just wondering what's common to fail and where I should be looking first as I've gotta get it right to sell her :(
  9. Hi Ray I think it's coz I've had the bonnet pull off and must of dislodged it pushing it backwards through the cable by mistake that's caused it . The problem ive got is I'm not sure how the cable connects to the bonnet latch and I've never actually changed one before . I've had the lock off today and it's working properly apart from no cable attached lol
  10. Fixed one problem gained another !! The bonnets been up and down a few times the past few weeks having work done so it's only natural the bloody locks started playing up ! I've have a nosey on here for pics on the bonnet latch and sorts but none show the back of the lock where the cable connects as I'm not sure if something's broke off on mine or if I'm just being stupid and not putting the cable back on right. Any help ppl would be most appreicated
  11. I've had mine done at psi over a year ago can't fault it .
  12. Only one I've got :( Don't fancy takin any while it's in bits !
  13. I always thought the lighter the flywheel the quicker the acceleration as there's less mass to weight to spin up but you lose coasting speed as it slows quicker when off power if that makes sense
  14. Well a door stop it shall become instead ! My other half keeps dropping hints about a mk2 vrs nearby that's up for sale ;p
  15. I know what you mean ! Working in a garage I had use of the ramps when needed so changed oil and filters every 3k or so just because I could .. I had planned the next service for jan with the intention of Changin the pick up pipe as I hadn't changed it yet . The turbo that came off was 2nd hand so no idea what mileage or life that had had either ! I've always looked after the whip letting it warm before giving it any and same for Cooling down . It's typical I planned to sell up after the service but will see .. In the meantime Luca (oet) has supplied me with another blower to get here moving again So if I keep it I've got a spare one ripe for a hybrid
  16. When I bought the car I thought the turbo looked newer than it should for the mileage and age and I can tell from the condition of the pipework throughout the engine it wasn't looked after before I had it . I've replaced most things over the two years I've had it and had planned to changed the oil pick up and return pipes on the next service which was gonna happen end of jan . Will have a butchers at the old ones comin off see if there's any obvious signs that caused it . I do remember heck in for play in the shaft over a year ago when I fitted a tip and there was play then so takin it stage two mite had something to so with it lol
  17. Tbh as soon as it happened I was watchin my pressure and temp gauges like a hawk incase there was a serious problem but all was normal .. I was planning on changing the oil pick up and return pipe next service as a precaution before this happened . It's had a compression tested and alls well plus dianogstics showed no fault codes other than expected so maybe just a knackered turbo ?? It's done 130k nearly and found out its a 2nd turbo that's coming off still got writing on the exhaust manifold lol
  18. No point bein depressed lol ! Would like to upgrade but time and money is against me so gonna be a 2nd hand one for now maybe hybrid the old one at a later date .
  19. Drivin the whip on on Thursday was making my way through traffic on a B road bashing when the car went sluggish and wasn't making any boost so pulled over and had an instant smoke screen lol
  20. Best get saving for an sfs then as mines stage 2 with a cm but made over 230 ...
  21. Check eurocarparts as well I'm running one of there smf kits I can't remember if it was luk or valeo but I can't fault it and it's coping with my stage 2 set up
  22. I'm on prosport's and for the money their ok ! But there's no soft ride with them so if your after comfort it's not the best choice ! I'm running them with a white line rarb and it has made a massive difference and I'll be upgrading the suspension bushes next
  23. I think mine had a lucky escape at psi with them only mapping it . Although I've no idea what map it's running just that it's stage 2 . I couldn't find u again on Sunday ash although u had picked the best Parkin spot lol
