  1. Looks like a battery saver device for a dash cam to stop the camera discharging the battety to far.
  2. Do you mean item 17 in the link below? https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/octavia/oct/2010-663/1/103-103085/
  3. Pullers are not needed for octavia wheel bearings as the bearings come mounted in the hub, they just bolt on as stated by jmattley, much easier than it was on the Mk4 platform.
  4. Engine flush is not recommended as loose carbon can block the small oil capillaries, regular oil changes with a good quality oil would be better, Also no need to remove exhaust to do Mr Muscle, loads of vids on you tube showing how to fill turbo from the EGR pipe, the best way to avoid carbon building up in the future is to regularly excerise the turbo, short trips pottering around will allow the carbon to build up to get worse, these 1.9pd engines are great but don't like being driven like miss daisy.
  5. Try here, https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/fabia/fab/2016-797/1/129-129060/
  6. Sorry, didn't realise 7 speeds were fitted to the larger engines,
  7. DSG oil should be chaneed every 40K, don't be tempted to have it done on the cheap, i.e. don't use non VAG oil, iirc dealer cost is around £180 or £100 if you diy it, Some info on diy below, http://www.myturbodiesel.com/wiki/dsg-fluid-drain-and-replacement-service-vw-and-audi-stronic-oil-flush/
  8. Could be swarf from the screw holes when the bolts were removed
  9. What mileage, when was the DSG last serviced?
  10. I would remove the headlight and check the vents are clear, driving with the dipped beam on will help them dry out.
  11. Some info here, https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/octavia/oct/2010-663/9/ Not sure how easy to work out which it is though
  12. The easier way is to use a piggyback fuse holder and run the cable up the A pillar to the camera, half an hour max to fit once you realise how to remove the trim pieces. Take a look at EBay item 312133677777 for the fuse holder.
  13. I would suggest removing wheel and with it laid flat spray soapy water all over it paying special attention to thr beads as its not unknown for corrosion to develop on the alloys where the tyre seals causing a slow leak , it will also be easier to examine the rest of the tyre off the car.
  14. I've used 2 piggyback fuses, 1 switched live and 1 permanent live, connected both to a 2 way switch so the camera can just be on with the ignition or left on when the engine is off, I. e. At the supermarket etc
