  1. Wife always complains after I've been in! Monday morning she pull's out at a junction & it thinks it's me . But it soon learns Miss Daisy is driving again.
  2. Done mine as it didn't feel planted in corners & it can make a big difference.
  3. I've 30K on mine & starting every now & then getting a lumpy tick over, so pulled one of my plugs on my vrs today to get the NGK plug number to source a set of plugs at non main dealer price. Problem is there is no number & just NGK VAG :( After scanning the web & getting different NGK numbers (even there own site) it looks like NGK 5758 / PZFR6R is this correct? I see Sparkly has a different number.
  4. Your welcome! I'm getting use to no thanks on this forum
  5. It’s under 44 - steering assist 07-recode. Code for my 61 plate Vrs was 11241, but felt to light for my style of driving so i made it heaver by altering the forth digit (smaller the fourth digit the less assist) mine now 11231.
  6. I've got one Dealer had already removed the stickers. I liked the look from the side, but not the front & back.
  7. The standard code for mine (2011 1.4 Vrs) is 11241 & I set mine at 11221, but the wife kicked off saying it was way to heavy :( So it is now set at 11231. it is made heaver or lighter by altering the 4th digit. Address 44: Steering Assist Labels: 6Q0-423-156.lbl Part No: 6R0 423 156 B Component: LenkhilfeTRW V277 Coding: 11231 Shop #: WSC 15288 VCID: 2F670D65EA066D1 No fault code found.
  8. I'm at dl14 (Bishop Auckland ish)
  9. I'm all sorted with mine now : ) ( had to search the web to get the origanal code as I got no help here). What do you need to know Gregs?
  10. If it looks like it's not going to move? Wiper Arm Removal Tool which is about £15 or Heated rear window because of oops ££££
  11. Looks ok to me Maybe better if it was the same colour as the car?
  12. Test the servo by sitting in the driver’s seat with the engine not running. Pump the brake pedal several times to remove any vacuum in the servo, then put your foot hard on the brake pedal & start the engine. If your servo is working you should feel the brake pedal being pulled down.
  13. Could be a stuck brake piston or the brake servo at a guess.
  14. There is no sensor for the back shoe/pad wear! with no fluid loss, it has to be the fluid level sensor or the handbrake switch
  15. Hiya Captin Del. Because it's a pirate copy of ElsaWin you might not get many replies :( But as for me! Your right you can't delete or change the tempoary code, what you need to do is copy it (copy & paste to avoid errors) & then run the ELSA Activation Tool & paste it in & press get code. Hope this helps? If you still get stuck? I can e-mail you the full instructions.
  16. I'm running with 80w on dip (this time of year there on more than off)& had no prob's.
  17. I had one on a Seat Ibiza 130 TDI & I got more MPG, BHP & a lot more torque. The only down side was it was lumpy on tickover sat at the lights, which I thought was a small price to pay for the improvement I had gained. No doubt this post will get jumped on by the “Your Turbo will Blow Up & Your Engine Will Fall Out down the motorway” guy’s. But I one in for over 3 years & it covered over 43000 miles & never missed a beat. I now have the petrol VRs so It’s just sat on the garage shelf :( if you want it? PM me your address & you can try it for yourself & keep it if you like it or throw it in the bin if you don’t.
  18. Yeap Fabia ll vrs, pull rubber cap off the back of the head light unit & then turn the bulb holder to release. Mine didn't want to turn at first & it look like I was going to break something :( I stopped calmed down and had another & it just turned?
  19. Osram Nightbreakers are a good choice I had them in our Fabia but the wife still complained. Now running Philips rally competition 80w which has stopped the wife complaining. The problem with the Rally ones is they are Not road legal & others will say you could burn your wiring out with pulling more amps though the cable. My answer would be I rather see where I was going, than putting the car in a ditch & as for burning the wiring out? That's why we have fuses. The Osram are £11.79 + 2.99 p&p on E-bay The Philips £25.53 + 2.49 p&p on E-bay
  20. You will have a fault somewhere in the airbag circuit. You could reset the light as many times as you like & it will just come back on again in till you fix the fault. You need to read the fault code & take it from there. Ps by the way I'm no expert :(
  21. unless you get a short or surge, the rest is programme coding I,e cracked windows will f*ck up the same as windows with no updates, But will not Kill you CPU.!
  22. The only problem I had was finding the original code for my VRS when the main dealer had taken out the progress steering when I told them it was too light at speed & then the wife started complaining about trying to park in Adsa! lol. Once I found the code (no help from this site, see my post's) This cable & software did the job
  23. I have a good clone which was £45 on Amazon running VDCS 11.11 (yes I know it's a rip & you have to stop it updating) I can't afford £250 just to help change my comfort settings, I'm not in business so can't charge others to off set the cost. As for backup? They got it working on my windows 8 pro a week after it was released & Ross-Tech just tell you they don't support windows 8 at this time for your £250!!
  24. Keep your eye on it & if it drop's over a short time? get it sniff tested.
  25. Hiya, you don't know what the original code is? I had a dealer make mine heaver, but all he did was give it a non VRS code & which took the progressive out. I now have VDCS & have made it heaver by altering the 4th digit & the range is 1 to 9, 1 being very heavy & 9 very light.
