  1. Not sure what it's called but ive seen them on the sport line Octavia here in Ireland. Also has vRS seats but all cloth.
  2. Thanks for the replies guys. I find it hard to believe the ST would be a lot smaller than an octavia. I will certainly test it out though.
  3. I'm in Ireland and we still have the 230 so I expect we still have the Cupra. The facelift is supposed to be unveiled at Paris in 3 weeks so I might wait to see the facelift and then pull the trigger. Best of luck with yours
  4. Thanks for reply and good luck with the car. My dealer just got the SEAT franchise for our town and I was set on a 230 but the Cupra interests me. I'll be interested to see what you think of the estate as I think id consider an ST.
  5. Hi, I've read the thread where people were mulling over a 230 or a Cupra 290. I'm just wondering if anyone took the plunge and what their thoughts are? Is the SEAT a step down in quality of build? Lastly if anyone did swap from a vrs to a Cupra did you opt for the ST or the hatch. Appreciate the comments if anyone has any
  6. Anyone here any idea when they will announce the details for the facelift. I've heard that the FL is due to be from week2 next year.
  7. I'm not doubting what any of you are saying here, but why are Skoda Ireland going to continue to allow orders but skoda uk aren't? I find that very strange. Same factory etc
  8. I intend to buy a 230 for the new Irish plate in January, after seeing this thread I spoke to my dealer, he Inturn spoke to skoda Ireland who contacted the factory and the RS230 isn't being discontinued (in Ireland anyway) and they also said that the octavia gets a FL in week 2 of 2017.
  9. I disagree with the mpg. I get 50+ all the time if I want to.
  10. Yeah I tried to build one one UK site. Odd that it's so different
  11. You don't have the rest of your roof black either. I don't think the spec is very different here but our configurator is better. When I select panoramic roof on Skoda.ie it forces me to tick the option for the foil roof extra and that turns the spoiler black... Have a look at skoda.ie
  12. I live in Ireland and it changed for me. Stays colour coded and I add the pan roof it forces me to add the roof foil extra at no cost and the spoiler turns black. Here's a mock one I created http://skoda-cc.cloudapp.net/CarCard/GetPdfCarCard/86915236
  13. If you go onto the configurator the spoiler turns black once the pan roof is selected as an option.
  14. Thanks for the input lads. That same garage in Galway (it's my dealer) did sell 2 saloons recently, a red and a black, when I serviced it last week I was enq about the value. He said that retail it's worth about €29,950 but to expect approx €28k on a trade in. I'm looking at moving to a MK7 GTI so to help with the cost of change I'd like to buy it straight to get the discount. I'd need €28k for mine. I'll wait until end of May and advertise it. If it sells it sells. Best of luck with your new Octavia by the way. This is my 3rd vRS and I have never had an issue with the Octavia!
  15. Hi Guys, I'm a long time member here but mainly a lurker and enjoy the threads etc. Question for the Irish guys here. I've a 141 vRS Diesel. One of the1st saloons in Ireland. I Change my car every 18 months or so and I'm wondering how difficult it may be to sell my car privately? Are people here buying second hand for high money? I'm going to change in 152 (july). Here's a link to the pics of my car. Should I just take the hit and trade it? http://s1302.photobucket.com/user/damowhitetiger/media/F90E374E-9D1C-40E6-BB15-27EC4B2FF3BB_zpsnvwqrx35.jpg.html Thanks for any feedback
