  1. Hi Flapperjack7,

Just been out again and looks like I have only 9.82Volts @ pin18 on the controller, think that's the problem?, if what would cause it, however I do have a brand new controller, but I think that requires programing )how do I do that/) as the display is funny symbols and when reset it closes all the vents?

I did try another controller and that's the same???, now confused

  2. I thought it was just mine. My nano often loses charge and quite often the car "loses" the ipod and I find I have to disconnect and then reconnect the Nano to make it work. Interestingly my wifes Golf, same age, same style of MIDI lead etc has no problem with her mark 1 Ipod Nano. Could it be a head unit problem? I currently have a Bolero fitted to 2012 Octavia.

  3. Had to take a sofa to the charity shop today so loaded it into the rear of my 2012 Vrs hatchback. I couldn't quite close the boot so had to use some well wrapped bungees to keep the boot closed. When hooking the bungee to the bumper I noticed a rectangular cut out, underneath, in the centre of the bumper. Although I keep my car clean I must admit to never getting this far under the bumper. So my question, as per the title, "do they all have this?"

  4. Thanks for the help. Yes it has worked in the past. We tried an update but still ended up with the crossed out aerial[emoji34]

It lists the stations just won't let us listen to them [emoji51]

Looks like a trip to the dealers. Thanks again for the help.

  5. Hi all, before I go rushing off to the dealers with the works car maybe someone on the forum can help.

The Columbus unit fitted to our Superb refuses to pick up any DAB stations. The stations are all listed and each one has an aerial sign with a line through it. The handbook as usual doesn't help. I have tried searching the forum to no avail. Am I missing something obvious or is the unit/aerial not working properly. We have tried resetting the unit to factory spec, this just clears the saved DAB stations. The car is only 6 months old so well within warranty.

Thanks in advance for any advice. :D

  6. Hello all, just a flying visit from the Octy2 forum. I have been tasked with sorting out a decent set of seat covers for a new Superb estate (3.6 4x4) that we have bought for work. It has a nice leather interior at the moment.

We need to find a set of hard wearing covers for the front and rears, although the front is more important at this time.

Apart from the usual Aldi, Halfords etc has anyone found a custom set of seat covers for the Superb. Would a set made for the Audi A6 fit?

Thanks in advance for the help.

  7. Just had my LED number plate lights coded by Phillips (AKA Zach).

This is the first time I've used the forum to actually meet someone to modify my car. I searched the VCDS map this morning, sent a PM to Zach who replied within minutes and arranged to meet tonight. Great guy scanned my car, coded my lights then offered to change/add any other bits I wanted.

A fantastic example of what the forum is about.

    Thanks Zach.

  8. Hi, I originally posted this in the Octavia 2 forum but realised I should have posted here instead.

Does anyone know of a way to change the mobile box name on a bolero, to something different. The manual says that it cannot be done but I wonder if someone had worked out a way to do it?

I realise that I can put any phone number under this name, but would prefer to change the name if possible.

    Thanks

  9. Quick question, is there any way to change the name "mobilebox" on the phone menu of the Bolero? The manual says it cannot be changed but I wondered if anyone had found a work around for this?

I have got it programmed with my home number, not voicemail, but would like to change the name if possible.

    Thanks

  10. Conti SC2 on my diesel Vrs, fronts need replacing now at 12000, mostly commuting, 40 miles a day, at between 40-60 mph in queues of traffic, with the occasional spirited drive, disappointed in their longevity. Based on previous reviews on the forum I'm switching to Goodyear Asymmetric 2, hopefully get a few more miles out of them

  11. My dec 2012 cr vrs has averaged 42.54mpg over its life time and has been as low as 36.58.

My daily commute is roughly 20 miles each way on A roads, and is often limited to about 50-55 stuck behind wagons first thing in the morning. Slightly quicker coming home. I seem to average about 425 miles per tank. Should I be expecting more than this (I was hoping for at least 500 miles when I bought my car)

  12. Today I received my invitation from Skoda, to enter a competition to win tickets to the Goodwood Festival of Speed to see the unveiling of the new vRS. Try as I might I cannot find the web site (Skoda.co.uk/vrscompetition) nor can I find a link to it on the Skoda website. Is it just me and my ipad or am I missing something? Has anyone else had the same problem?

If someone has found it can you tell me where it is.

    Thank you
