  1. Had my car supagaurded at dealer new 3 months ago but did get free as a part of the deal breaker. I agree with estate mans comments and have found it excellent so far as my car has begun its life in winter and time and the effort to do a high quality job myself are very limited. Maybe check around to see if you can get a better deal and then ask them to price match .

  2. Hi, wondered where you consider your local dealer to be . I'm in Burton on the water and curbridge skoda near Whitney is my closest although they are No longer a main dealer have a excellent reputation and are very friendly and helpfull. I hope your damage isn't serious and your able to avoid the insurance claim , I protect my no full no claims but I think its a Max 2 claims in 5 years !

  3. Picking it up tomorrow, probably won't be able to sleep tonight. Gave the Vrs Mk1 a wash today, treating it the same after 8 years as I did when it was new, gonna be a sad but very happy day.

Hope you managed to sleep .. hope your collection goes well . I thought I had a good location for driving my new car around in , being that I live in the Cotswolds, now that all the autumn colours have arrived and the place looks stunning. But I'm very envious of your location and roads around you that you have to drive on . Look forward to seeing a few scenic pics of your car.... will try to do the same myself over the weekend . Enjoy. :)

  4. what part of the country? how flat were the roads and what speed were you doing?

i have seen low 80's a few times but usually average mid 70's, but down here in kent there are a fair few hills which seem to take a toll on my mpg

also which fuel do you use out of interest?

I was travelling from the Cotswolds to croydon in London , was travelling between 6 - 9 am and was very lucky not to get in any jams . I was travelling behind a few trailers which was noticeably easier on the go pedal. And didn't exceed 65 very often . It seemed like gentle downhill on the way and the opposite on my return run. I still suspect the cars mpg reading is over a good percent or three . I was using Tesco standards fuel too.

  5. With less than 300 miles and still running in I'm seeing about 60 mpg but what I found useful on my journey home last night was watching the actual mpg and not aveverage mpg and being able to see what the mpg is like

In different gears going up a steady climb and also when to accelerate a little harder to get to get to cruising speed to be in the most efficient gear.

  6. Hi to all .. been searching through the Fabia greenline 2 Statics on feully only to find mainly low 60's mpg it seems even worse looking at the polo bluemotions stats. Ok everyone seems to get high 60's low 70's mpg on a very occasional tankfull and overall not a huge increase in most cars from New to current mileage , just interested in people's opinions on this and advice for best results .. on a final note much rather be low 60's mpg than most other cars Mpg I see on there ... Happy eco driving :) Steve

  7. Test drove a fabia gl2 today ... someone placed a deposit on the car after I arranged a half day test drive but still got to have my extended test drive . Back at dealership managed to secure the last UK car that's currently in transit otherwise would have been a 14 - 16 week wait . Should be at dealers in 2 - 3 weeks.... 14 weeks is a long wait just for maxi dot . Very pleased with today's result.
