  1. Faulty fuse or loose couplers maybe. Pls recheck everything.
  2. I think its the electric steering rack on its way out. Pls scan the car and post a report. Octy II is known to have electric steering rack issues.
  3. Rob could you mention part numbers for your H&R suspension setup. More than one option was found when I go-ogled it.
  4. Thanks for the PDF. Helped me understand how to set the timing on my car.
  5. PRE-FL HEADLIGHT XENON CONTROL UNIT PART NUMBER - 1Z0 941 641 A FACE LIFT HEADLIGHT XENON CONTROL UNIT PART NUMBER - 1Z0 941 641 B Xenon Bulbs are same though.
  6. Check for error codes in VCDS. My friend had the same problem and we found that the leveling sensor in the lower arm was faulty. The error code read no or incorrect adaptation.
  7. Hello Eivind, Any updates after you replace your mechatronic with a mechatronic unit from a different mode. Did it work? Did you have to do any programming? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
  8. Update: Seems like the issue is fixed. Cleaned the vacuum lines properly and the issue seems to have fixed. The car has been driven for around 500 Km's now and the issue has not cropped up. Hope it stays that way. Thanks for all the advice guys.
  9. Thanks for the advice guys, will check the master cylinder. Is there anyway to get readings of Vacuum Pump using VCDS?
  10. Will have a look at it, can it be the brake boosters? Also how do I check vacuum pump to see if it works correctly? Can I do it using VCDS?
  11. My friend's Skoda Octavia MK2 L&K Diesel 2007 1.9 PD is having braking issues at low speeds. I recently drove the car and found that the braking is just fine at higher speeds, but when the speed is below around 40kmph the brake pedal just goes down to the floor while braking. We checked the vacuum pump by releasing the main line. On idle and at low RPM, vacuum can be felt in the lines. So does this mean vacuum pump is alright? All the vacuum lines has also been checked for leaks or blockages, we found none. Will there be a problem with brake booster? VCDS scan did not bring about any faults on the ABS Unit. Any suggestions?
  12. Looks like you will have to replace your Steering Rack with an updated one. As far as I understand the torque sensor comes as a part of the steering rack and is not available separate to buy.
  13. Get a Superb TFSi 4x4 instead! Speaking from experience, being in INDIA parts availability and third party technical help that may be required to complete such a job will be difficult.
  14. Any progress on this front? I had the same issue on my Left Light of my L&K Octavia MK1. I interchanged the ballasts, resulting in left light working and right not working. Thus replaced my ballast with a non OEM D2S ballast. Everything worked fine for a while but later the xenon bulb started flickering on the replaced ballast side. I replaced the D2S bulbs and its working fine now except the other side has now started flickering. Quite annoying issue, now I guess I will have to replace bulb and ballast of the other side as well. PS - I had the same fault codes as shown on above post.
