    Update: I took my car to Skoda Service, they checked the cooling system with 2 bar pressure and they found a tiny small hole in the Radiator. they suggested to replace with a new one and i did that with fresh coolant. Now the car is running fine and i have not noticed no 1000 RPM increase at idling (except AC on for the first time). Hope the problem is rectified.

    Thanks friends for your suggestions. Adding to the 1K idling issue, last week coolant reservoir low alarm raised. I topped up with water and regularly monitoring the level of coolant. suggest me whether both problems are related to each.

    I did clean all the Earthing points except ECU point (not able to locate that point), but the rpm issue is still there in traffic condition. Engine is 2.0 CR with DSG Model 2011.

    Thanks for the feedback langer2K. i'm not getting any error code related to engine, except seat lumber support circuit intermittent. do you nave any suggestion to solve this ECU related problem? And recently i have changed Flywheel and Clutch unit for my car at skoda authorized service center.

    i'm owning 2011 2.0 TDI DSG. i'm facing this 1K rpm issue while stop in traffic (morning after starting if AC gets ON, rpm raise to 1K). i asked Skoda service person they told, this condition happens during battery charging. i'm not convinced with their answer. - i have change 70amps battery last month. but the problem is still there. can anyone suggest me a solution for this problem. Note: in my town temperature will be 35-40 degree.

    Hi, i have recently brought used 2.0 TD Octavia DSG L&K variant, 96000 kms covered. The problem is when i shift from "N" to "D" or "D" to "N" some strange clashing noise is coming from gearbox. i did VCDS scan, but no error codes. during driving there is no noise while auto gear changing. please share your suggestions? thanks

    1st time switch on the system, volume was working (key was at ignition mode) and after the engine was started no sound. can you help me with VCDS coding?

    I have a pre facelift Octavia 2008 with amplifier. I replaced the audience HU with Bolero HU, since then no sound. I need some suggestions.

    Hi,

    I'm living in India and driving Skoda Octavia 2008 L&K car. i saw your suggestion regarding Bolero/ Columbus RNS510 head unit upgrade so i thought of asking suggestion from you.

     

    let me tell you what are stuffs i have purchased..

    1-  Columbus RNS 510 MFD3 Sat Nav - yet to buy

    2- Bluetooth module- 5K0035730E

    3. wiring & MIC.

     

    - Do in need to buy new CAN Gateway or existing CAN Gateway can up-gradable?

    - Do both the system support 2008 L&K OEM fitted amplifier?

    - what are the modification i need to do this retrofit?

     

    your inputs will be much appreciated.

      I'm sorry to say that much of my knowledge has been forgotten since I moved to Scotland as I have not been able to work on any cars up here.

       

      All I can recall is that a 2008 Octavia should have a new enough CAN gateway to run the Columbus.

       

      As for BT module, I do not know which modules are compatible any more.

      Hi,

      Sorry for bothering you,

      I brought Bolero Head Unit and try to install in the car. first time when the radio was ON, sound was perfect while car was in ignition mode. when i started the car no sound but system was working. 

      I got CAN GATEWAY error, Sound System error.

      Vehicle: 2008 1.9 TDI L&K 

      while browsing i came to know about CANBUS unit, can you tell me this will solve my issue?

    Hi, I'm planning to install Bolero music player in My 2008 Octavia, which is having Audience music player. i would like to add Bluetooth module along with it. when i contacted ebay seller, they asking for part number for Bluetooth module. i need some advice on this? Thanks

    while scanning, Torque value is changing and "Term 15 on". could suggest me what else i need to check.

    I'm driving 2008 Octavia 2 dsg model. Recently I changed both the drive shafts with a serviced shafts. After changing the shafts G269 error coming. Can anyone help me what I need to do..?
